The good: This hotel is conveniently located, and that is its one redeeming quality. The bad: The photos of the room are very misleading. There is absolutely no space to walk around the bed or to even open your suitcase. Everything is crammed together. The window looks into an internal courtyard which means no sun and you cannot really leave the curtains open as people would be looking at your bed. Breakfast is not great, the OJ is made out of powder. There was no heat available and it was a cold April, with outside temperature betw 5-13 Degrees C. This left us huddling around the hairdryer for warmth, and it is bolted to the wall in the bathroom. Finally, we had an ant colony living in the bathroom. The ants and us shared the heat. Conclusion: Do not recommend. Overpriced and not what you’d expect from a “palace”.

I'm surprised that this is considered a 4 star property. The staff was semi-friendly (depending on who you were speaking with), but did not offer to help with bags (even though we were clearly struggling) when we checked into or out of the hotel. Also, we found dust bunnies all around the room, so it clearly had not been well cleaned in some time, and generally felt old and outdated. The location is good in that it's close to a lot of things, but it feels like it's on a back alley behind a massive embassy. We were only there for one night, so it was fine, but I would not recommend it for a long stay in Rome - especially given the price.

Fantastic position for hop on hop off bus, eatery's and restaurants. Breakfast is very tasty. Staff have been very friendly, attentive and helpful.

Perfect spot in Roma
The hotel is in a great neighborhood and close to many important places to visit. The breakfast was terrific and the room though small was very manageable. I would definitely stay there again. The only issue was at checkout they tried to charge me for drinks in the bar that I never had. That was awkward due to the language barrier.

The only bad thing about the hotel is the noise from outside, goes all night long very loud but there is nothing the hotel can do about it. The breakfast is amazing with Nico and karmen very attentive to any of your needs and is a very good breakfast too. That's my hotel in Rome for sure.

Your hotel is a piece of crap.
Not enough rooms for handicapped. Were not willing to work with us. Worse hotel ever stayed at. Small rooms. Stay at hotel Espagna. Much better location. Rooms are twice the size. Much better then this piece of crap! They didn't refund the money cuz we couldn't stay they. So we paid double hotel in Rome!

This hotel is amazing. It is in a great location close to all the key sites in Rome. The room is very nice, the breakfast is amazing and the staff are very helpful.

Beautiful place to stay
Great location within walking distance of the colosseum, Vatican City, Spanish steps and a lovey green park. Hotel staff are very friendly, room was clean and had everything you’ll need for a comfortable break. Breakfast was also very generous with lots of choices and amazing pastries. Would happily return again!

This is a very nice hotel in a nice area walking distance to many places. The buffet breakfast was nice to have as well. The staff was very friendly. Room was on the small side. A nice touch would have been to have a couple of bottles of water in the room. Overall happy with hotel and would visit again.

Found the internet was non existent in our room, which meant we had to go down stairs to update and send emails. The only other problem we came across was when we went down to the bar. Served my husband a warm beer and asked if he wanted ice in it. 😮 It was a lovely place to stay, very central with lovely welcoming staff.

On first glance this is a good hotel. It is located very conveniently to all main places of interest and within easy walking distance of the main shops and restaurants. When we arrived we were directed to our room which hadn't been cleaned so we had to wait until the room was ready. The staff didn't even make any effort to relocate us to another room. This was disappointing. We were on the first floor located right above the main entrance. If you go to this hotel ask for a room higher up. People were smoking outside the main entrance and as a result we couldn't open our window. However, what was worse was that the room was uncomfortably hot and even when we asked the hotel to turn off the heating it was still over-bearing (and we couldn't open the window without the smell of smoking). The room itself was small, but clean and ok for a couple of nights stay. The breakfast buffet was absolutely not worth it. The food was poorly cooked and the coffee was awful (something not expected for Italy!). Would suggest going to the café across the road or just down the road towards the Metro. Would suggest thinking twice about booking this hotel.

The location was convenient to many sightseeing spots and the metro (subway) station. The staff was friendly and helpfu. My only drawback was housekeeping. We stayed five nights, the first two day of housekeeping no complaints, but as time went by, you can see the difference in the cleaning. Beds weren’t made as they usually are compared to other hotel stays and complimentary coffee and tea weren’t restocked the rest of the time we were there. I’d give it 3.5 stars out of 5 for housekeeping.

Lovely clean modern comfortable room clean towels every day. Tea and coffee facilities and a fridge with drinks if we wanted them. Breakfast was great so much selection and all fresh. Hotel in a good location with lots of restaurants close by. Metro a few mins walk would advise to use it, regular trains and so cheap. Would strongly advise to stay at this hotel.

Very well located, walking distance (2 min) to metro station. Several decent restaurants at walking distance. Continental breakfast with fair amount of options but in a small space. Small but well furnished room. Excellent staff. Cost/benefit above average. I´d stay again.

Great hotel near Barberini
This is a lovely hotel close to Barberini although it is a bit of a climb. The hop-on/hop-off buses stop nearby so it's a good place to pick up a bus (avoid City Sightseeing Roma - very poor reviews- we chose the GrayLine pink route, very good) Hotel staff were excellent, friendly and very helpful. Tea and coffee (sadly not decaff) were provided and when we asked for milk, we were given a fresh jug. Rooms have a kettle, a safe (foc) hairdryer, aircon, modern tv. Breakfast was very good - scrambled egg and bacon, toast, buns, cereals, yoghourt, fruit, fruit juice, tea & coffee (sadly not decaff) - all perfectly adequate to fill up for a day's marching around this wonderful city.
