“Out of town but can't be faulted otherwise”
I read so many bad reviews of hotel jonico before we went to Rome so when I actually arrived at the hotel I was pleasantly surprised!the staff at the exception desk were very friendly and helpful and gave us a map of Rome and told us the best ways to get around.the hotel room was small but perfect for what we needed it for which was sleeping as were out all day and it was very clean and tidy.the only fault with this hotel is the location.it is about 30 minutes maximum from termini station in the centre of Rome.taxis from the airport to the hotel can be pricey but not too bad once you're actually at the hotel and getting to and from Rome.the best way to travel into Rome is by tram which is about 5 minutes walk from the hotel.AVOID the 105 bus at all costs!it does pretty much the same route as the tram but takes longer,is fuller and it smells!it's ok at night to get back to the hotel as it runs until midnight but only if you manage to get a seat.if you can save 30 euros for a taxi though I would definitely suggest that. Overall, the hotel was perfect for what it was and if you don't mind a slightly longer journey into Rome for a cheaper price then this is the hotel for you.
“hotel JONICO proche de lautorrote.”
Hotel satisfaction ra-pore càlites prix
“Hôtel correct mais trop loin des centres d'intérêts”
Plus de 40 minutes pour accéder à la Gare de Termini d'ou partent la plupart des moyens de transport permettant de découvrir la ville et ses monuments.
“Nice hotel. Too far from main city”
The hotel it self is nice. and the people are real nice. my only issue with any hotel in Rome is that the air conditioning stays about 85F. Maybe i am being picky but I like a hotel to have the possibility to get down to 70F during the day or nite. Now the reality is. it gives you the incentive to not be in your room all day when you should be walking around and seeing the sites. This hotel in particular is on the far east side of italy. If you choose this hotel. Rent a car or use the electric train system. Don't even bother with a cab. 30+ euro from the train station to the hotel one way. and too the air port... You don't want to know that price. If your using the train system it is like 16 euro for a week pass. I recommend the shuttle to your hotel. Buy the pass online when you get your tickets all at once. There is a nice Kibab place right around the corner and a chinese restaurant. I recommend the kebab place more than the chinese. People are real nice there and American Friendly. I would recommend this hotel. but Try to get a transportation pass if your not going to rent a car.
“Disappointed”
The location description was misleading, it is not close to the Colloseum, in fact, no where near! The hotel is situated in an industrial area and there are very few eating places nearby. You need to take public transport to get into the centre of Rome (at least 40 minutes on the bus), which we were not expecting to have to do, every day. The buses are crowded and in the heat, it's no fun! The front desk staff (especially the night staff) are quite miserable and unfriendly. The hotel itself is clean, the rooms are ok, but the balconies over-look factories and car parks. Rome is absolutely beautiful, love the city and would highly recommend visiting there, but would definitely NOT stay in this hotel.
