“Would go back in a shot”
I had a good feeling about this hotel when I called the night before to say we would be arriving late and the receptionist knew my name. We arrived in Rome on Saturday at 9pm to be welcomed by a very friendly, helpful man at reception, who again welcomed me by name when we walked through the door (apparently we were last to check in). Check in was quick and painless and before we knew it we were waiting for the lift (I think the wait for the lift was longer than the check in process!). Our room was on the 4th floor and I did have a bit of a panic when the lift doors opened. The hall carpet has seen better days and the walls could maybe do with a fresh coat of paint, but I neednt have worried about the room. It was completely spotless. The bathroom was a bit on the small side, but again it was so clean the size really didnt matter. We had a king bed but the space round it made me think the room was maybe more Double size, but your in Rome, why would you want to spend heaps of time in your room? Breakfast was a bit of a let down, but Ive never been a big fan of continental breakfasts. The breakfast staff were friendly and pleasant, but if your late down dont expect to eat much as once its gone, its gone. We didnt meet any staff who looked or acted like we were getting in the way, which is so unusual in a service industry.
“great little hotel”
We had a very pleasant 4 night stay at this hotel. It is located within walking distance of the train station and many interesting tourist attractions. The hotel staff speak English, are helpful booking tours and even provided us with an early breakfast one morning when our tour left at 7:15 am. The room was clean, comfortable, roomy and quiet. The breakfast is full American style with a large selection and generous amounts of coffee. I would definately stay here again when visiting Rome.
“excellent choice”
EXcellent service from the front desk, would recommend this hotel and would stay there again if in Rome.
“Comfortable Hotel, Convenient and Safe Location”
Room and shower were tiny as expected, but spotless and sufficient for on-the-go tourists. Easy walk to Spanish Steps, Borghese Park, Trevi Fountain, etc. Easy bus to Vatican. Good dining room, excellent restaurant at the end of the street (Cafe Piave), and pizza cafe across the street. May be too hot in August, but delightful in spring.
“Great small hotel in Rome”
Despite the small room, everything else was great. Very helpful front desk. Great breakfast included. Free internet. Complimentary bottle of wine. Quiet location, away from the traffic.
“Small but Great”
Stayed in a single room that was quite tiny. Though the cleanliness and the excellent staff made up for it. Location was great as it was walking distance to all the main attractions. If you are not into walking good distances, the bus stop is right outside the front door which takes you to all attractions. Close to the Termini which was convenient for getting to and from the airport. Would stay there again.
“European style attention”
retaurant recommendations not good
“Quite the conversation piece ... yes, we would stay here again.”
This room was substantially bigger than the room in the main hotel. The king size bed was very comfortable. We liked that the window opened - from the top. The bathtub was great and we appreciated the towel warmer. The decor is very modern. Kettle (boiler) in room with tea and coffee. Refrigerator was stocked with water. Breakfast was GREAT. The scrambled eggs were the best that we have ever had in a hotel (more yolks). This particular room was quite different and actually made our stay better (loved the big wooden door and the elevator and the ancient staircase (stone). We stayed 3 nights. The only caveat is that Wifi is available only in the hotel lobby. The internet access is in the same area as breakfast. The keyboard on the computer was "interesting" must use shift / 2 to get @ sign. Bizarre ! You can get internet access for a daily rate in your room if you have your laptop ... we were travelling with a smart phone. They upcharge to call for a taxi so we just grabbed one off the street and saved 10 euros. They only change the sheets on the bed every 3 days (is this the new normal?). In the morning of our second day, we noticed that the sheet had some blood marks at the bottom (feet area). Mentioned this to the desk manager and were somewhat surprised that housekeeping did not change sheets. Next hotel I will pull the sheets all the way back and check.
“Very good, fabulous staff”
The hotel is very small, with very narrow hallways, but is very clean and charming. Single room was small, but very clean and maid service was prompt. The entire staff, particularly the front desk staff, was helpful, kind and courteous, particularly to a non-Italian speaker. Fairly close to metro, bus stop right outside the front door. Breakfast was included, and I thought very good. On a fairly quiet but busy street.
