“Best location to be in, in a quitely and uniquely located hotel”
The Hotel is located in a stratgic location in a quiet settings. Close to subway and spansih steps. The area is always busy with tourist. Overall the hotel was clean and nice. Was worth every penny compared to other hotels we stayed in.
“Would stay there again”
Great location; small room but normal for European hotels. Very nice; good breakfast.
“Hôtel agréable et Situation parfaite”
Très bel hôtel, joli décoration, très bien situé. Le quartier est très agréable et proche de tout pour visiter et accéder au métro depuis la piazza di Spagna. Le personnel de l'hôtel est aimable et souriant. Le petit déjeuner était bon et diversifié. Hôtel que nous recommandons, la chambre était petite mais très cosy et douillette.
“Great location for a good price”
The metro is just around the corner from the hotel, and area is good for shopping if you want to do some of that while you are in Rome. The staff was very nice during my stay and were always ready to assist or answer any questions I had about the city. The wireless internet was an extra charge but only 5 euros for 24 hours(not a deal breaker). The rooms are a bit small but beds are comfortable and the shower is big for Italy standards. Will stay here again next time I'm in Rome.
“Hotel forte”
Nice hotel in a very good location. Within walking distance of a lot of nice shops and the main attractions.
“The Forte Hotel, Roma.”
The Forte Hotel is a few yards only from the Spanish Steps which makes it handy for Rome centre. There is a metro station at the Spanish Steps; three stops to the Vatican in one direction, three to the main railway station in the other. The hotel is situated in the Via Margutta which is a narrow pretty side street of old buildings clad with wisteria, and other attractive plants. Just behind this street is an area of gradens surrounding the Villa Borghese. The staff of the Forte Hotel are pleasant and helpful.
“Roman Holiday at Hotel Forte”
My husband and myself stayed for 5 nights in the Hotel Forte over last weekend. The hotel is about 300metres from the Metro at Piazze di Spagna and Spanish Steps, very easy to find, and right in the city centre. The staff at reception were very helpful, the Hotel is actually on the first floor, and the lift was sent down for us to go up to first floor reception area. Our room was just a little on the small side, but as we only needed to sleep there, that was not a problem. The shower was very hot and powerful, again we could have used a little more elbow room in there! The room was situated at the back of the hotel, very quiet, no problem with noise at night. Room service was spot on, clean bedding and towels every day if you required it. A mini bar/fridge in the room also, which was expensive and not needed by us. Breakfast is between 7am and 10.30am and was wonderful! Plenty of choice, croissants, cakes, cereals, fresh fruit, cheeses, meats, bread, sausages, eggs, bacon, plenty of coffee, tea, fruit juices. Vanya, the lady in the dining room was very friendly and so helpful. Maps are available of the local area and beyond and again all Reception staff were very helpful with directions etc even giving us a weather report every day! We would definiitely stay at Hotel Forte again.
“viva italia”
Our room had GREAT air conditioning! No street noise, breakfast was standard, front desk was helpful. Less than 5 minute walk from Spagna metro station and Spanish Steps. Would stay here again :)
“Perfect location-crazy midnight alarms”
The location of Hotel Forte can't be beat. It is a half a block down from Hotel Art so if Hotel Art is out of your price range, consider Forte a great second choice. The room was clean and the concierge helpful (although the directions given to nearby restaurants and sights were not "spot on"). The continental breakfast is acceptable. The big drawback to our four day stay was a bizarre experience on our last night. When the power goes out at the hotel, a florescent light above the door shines and blinks relentlessly. Couple that with the local business alarms that are set off by a loss of power to the neighborhood---well, the night gets pretty miserable. Since power outages could be a frequent occurrance, Hotel Forte should have a better solution than a spotlight over the bed at 2am. I can sleep just fine if the powers out without the alarms. A blinking alarm clock in the morning is how I'd like to be notified! Management was unsympathetic, although most of the guests were up and in the hallway.
“Hotel Forte - Glad we stayed there.”
Great, quiet location. Only a 5 min walk to the Spanish Steps. Very friendly and helpful staff. Buffet breakfast that is included in rate always seemed to be running low on food. Get there early!
