“Perfect Quiet Location Close to Ancient city”

This location was perfect for us. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. It was in easy walking distance to the Colloseum and the Forum as well as being close to Termini and all Metro and Bus Lines. The staff were very friendly and the price was excellent. We have stayed there twice now and will do so again.

“great for the money and quite by Rome Standards.”

The Hotel room was the largest we had in Europe, the others were small and very small, it was also clean and the staff were always great. The breakfast each morning was very good with more choice than we expected. Our only problem was we didn't always get hot water in the morning....sometimes ice cold...however, even with that we would go back...good value.

“Great European Hotel near Rome sties”

Super hotel for seeing ancient Roman sites. We stayed Sept 3-6 2011 and again on our way home from Italy Sept 15. Staff were friendly and helpful. The property is an easy 10-15 minute walk to the Coliseum and other sites. Very close to metro and bus. Walking distance to the main train station in Rome. Breakfast was fantastic: eggs, bacon, fresh fruit, selection of fruit juices, italian meats and cheeses, cereal, pastry and tea and coffee. They will even make you a cappuccino! Great value for a European hotel. If you are from North America and have not been to Eurpoe you need to expect smaller but nice rooms. It was very hot when we visited. Air conditioning in our first room was a bit weak, but the second room was fine. If its really hot and this is important to you may want to check this before taking the room assigned.

“Good Place to Stay”

The hotel is easy to find, even for a first time visitor. It's about a 20 minute walk from the train station - out the front door, turn left, walk to the piazza, and it's only a couple of blocks from there. It's also easy to find the Colisseum from the hotel, although it's a bit far away. The room was very nice, with a pair of twin beds and a new TV. There was only one English channel, though, CNN International. Internet access was by network cable, but it worked perfectly. Breakfast was continental, but pretty good. The hotel is not far from a main street, and there is a bit of road noise, but it's not intrusive. The desk is manned 24 hours a day. The staff is helpful, but some aren't fluent in English. There are several restaurants and grocery stores within a couple of blocks. It would be nice if the hotel was closer to the historic areas, but I would stay there again without hesistation.

“Good value hotel, but rooms are small.”

Except for one of the receptionists, the entire staff were amazing! It is a decent hotel for the price, and is located within a 5-10 minute walk to a metro station. I would say the only true draw back is the size of the rooms and in particular, the size of the washroom. It was hard to find room to open two suitcases in the double bed room. And the washroom is really, really small. There is barely enough room to turn around in the shower! All in all, it was a decent hotel for the price. I wouldn't recommend extended stays there but if value is your priority, it is a clean, safe, and welcoming hotel.

“March 23, 2013”

We had read reviews previously posted and found that the hotel was better than suggested. The location as not in the best neighbourhood, so this was really the major disappointment.

“Not super, but OK hotel”

Pictures look way better than reality. A little bit old building requiring repairs in shower rooms and on the outside the hotel. Very good breakfast with eggs and beacon!!! Location is good = 15min walking to Coliseum; 5min walking to the Metro. Have limited parking on site with closing gates.

“Not a 4 star”

This hotel was a solid 3 star. Should not have been given 4 star rating. Good breakfast.

“Quiet, average”

The hotel is in a quiet area, 10 minutes to subway, 20+ to colliseum. We walked from the train station without any problems. There are a few restaurants close by which are fine, also a good place for pizza and desserts. The room was small, but clean, with a handy safe. We had some problems with the hot water. We were given a superior room, but asked to be changed because we wanted a shower, not a bathtub, however, the shower we got did not drain very well. The problem with our room, #23, was that the adjoining room's bathroom is right by the head of the bed and it was noisy. This room is not recommended. The breakfast was simple, but filling. If you want pastries, don't be late as they go quickly. Free internet was nice. Staff friendly and helpful. Next time we would try to be closer to the historic centre of the city.

“Basic but a good location”

The room was pretty basic and a little worn out. The bathroom wasn't super clean. That said there was AC, its in a pretty great location and the wifi was free. About a 20 - 30 min walk from the main train station and 10 minutes from the metro. You can easily walk to the colosseum in 25 minutes.
