“wish we were still there”
great hotel. location. staff.
“A definite recommend!”
Stayed at the Cosmopolitia during the first week of August. Extremely pleased with all aspects of the hotel. Fantastic location, within walking distance to all the sites in Rome. Around the corner to Plaza Venezia, Roman Ruins and an easy 20 minute walk to anywhere else. Standard room is on the small side but was comfortable. Bathroom (shower) is very small but not unbearable. Didn't have any breakfast at the hotel during the stay but did have dinner there one evening which was excellent. If ever returning to Rome, this'll be the place to stay!
“A good find!!!”
This hotel is perfectly located. At our arrival we were greeted by friendly hotel staff and although we were early, our room was ready for check in. The room was quite spacious and nicely decorated. There were 3 of us traveling and there were 3 single beds; 2 of them were placed together and the 3rd was a sofa bed; not too comfortable but expected from a sofa bed. All in all we loved the location, security was great and the rooms were a pleasure. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
“Small, but good!”
The Hotel Cosmopolita is located very centrally in Rome - I couldn't have picked a better location, actually. It was extremely clean and modern and the views of Rome from my room were spectacular. My only complaint was that the room was tiny! There was probably not more than a foot and a half of space between the bed and the walls and that was it! This is not uncommon in Europe and frankly I wasn't going to Rome to spend time in a hotel, so I wasn't bothered by it. I needed a place to sleep, shower, and store my suitcase and Hotel Cosmopolita provided exactly that. Bear in mind that I was traveling alone and booked a room with one twin bed - suites for more than one person might be different. The neighbourhood was safe and quiet - I would absolutely stay there again.
“Nice hotel in a great location. Everything except the vatican was within walking distance.”
The staff were very friendly, breakfast was pretty decent also. The rooms were very comfortable, not cramped at all. We even had our own balcony overlooking the courtyard in behind the hotel. The rooftop terrace was great, wonderful views of Rome from up there. Unfortunately, the elevator didn't go all the way up, you have to walk up a couple of flights of stairs. All of the major sights in Rome are within walking distance from this hotel. We would definitely stay here again.
“It was great”
We have no complaints about the Cosmopolita. We stayed there for 3 nights at the end of our honeymoon in Italy and it was great. Breakfast was good (hot and cold food), location was awesome and the staff were very friendly. I would definitely stay here again.
“Perfect location!”
Loved this hotel! We felt so safe there, it was extremely clean and the staff was very friendly and fluent in english. The location was amazing..it was right in the middle of downtown Rome! The stop for the hop on hop off bus was just around the corner and there are so many restaurants close to the hotel.
“Location, location, location”
After reading previous reviews, I was completely satisfied with the choice of this hotel. You could not beat the location. We only had a day and a half in Rome before leaving for our cruise and we managed to visit the Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps, The Colosseum, the Victor Emmanuelle monument, all within 5 minutes to a half hour of this hotel on foot. The next morning we took a 5 minute taxi ride to Vatican City and spent the morning there before leaving for the Civitavecchia port. We took a taxi to the train station for 10 Euros and the train for 4.5 Euros per person to the port. They were going to charge us 100-150 Euros for a taxi to Civitavecchia. The hotel itself was very nice and comfortable. The room was a little small, which is par for the course in Europe, but certainly manageable. It was very neat and clean. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The buffet breakfast was included and was delicious. I would certainly go back and recommend this hotel.
“Excellent service”
This hotel is very weel located even though it's about 15 minutes away from the nearest Metro station, the reason being that there is not thatmany Metro stations! This is not the paris or London Metro. Breakfast is excellent. Service is also excellent. Most hotel staff speak enough English to communicate basic information to tourists. The only negative aspect of the trip has nothing to do with the hotel;it"s related to Alitalia. This airline has a strong tendency to lose luggage. It happened to us as weel as two other couples staying at the hotel. As you can imagine, a delay of 48 hours to get your luggagecan cause some problems! However, Roma is a beautiful city with a long history, excellent food, and absolutely great coffee.
“Lovely hotel in great location.”
Roof top patio was gorgeous. The room was clean and comfortable. I was astonished at how well I slept.
