“Très satisfait”
Très bien. Propre. Joli.
“A great place to stay”
Great place to stay. The hotel is 2 1/2 blocks from the train station.Easy to get to. The staff speak english and are very helpful. The rooms ( we have stayed there twice) are clean and mantained. Breakfest is good. The is a wonderful place to stay when in Rome.
“GREAT service”
We checked in early hoping just to leave our bags. Although our room was not ready, the management offered to upgrade us to their apartment just around the corner. The apartment slept 5 and had a separate living room and fully equiped kitchen. Our stay was wonderful.

“Hotel Contilia Review”
Hotel is only 2 blocks from Roma Termini, close to metro stop like Repubblica, and busy streets like Nazionale and Cavour. Plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. My daughter and I walked to the Coliseum (Colosseum), Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps. We left too early to sample the included breakfast, so can't comment on that but was probably typical for Roma small hotels and would have been fine with us. Nice lobby at the hotel, friendly front desk. Great hotel for the price.
“A Happy Adventure.”
I thoroughly enjoyed staying at this hotel. Knowing it was in a section of Rome that some guide books classified as 'seedy' I did not know what to expect, but which I personally did not find to be seedy but vibrant, full of life and an experience of a bustling neighborhood that was an adventure to walk around in. At no time did I feel uncomfortable or at ease in walking around; in fact, I met some quite friendly Romans while shopping in the local eateries and markets in this neighborhood. I chose this hotel both for the price, which was very reasonable, and its close proximity to Rome's main train station which also serves as the terminus for both Rome's bus and subway lines - with a bad back and knee this came in quite handy. The staff was extremely helpful and could direct you to anywhere you wanted to go; they even called up places I wanted to visit to get information for me. The room I had was small but I was travelling solo. I did not mind it at all. The hotel and room were very clean and always kept so. I felt I got a true taste of Rome in staying here and would return to this hotel because of the staff and the hotel's cleanliness. Staying here helped me have a wonderful and happy adventure in my week's stay in Rome.
“Good location”
Really enjoyed our stay, loved the street side restaurants with a different on to chose from every night. Nice walk to the Colosseum, Spanish steps, the Vatican and Villa Borghese. We found that after a day visiting central Rome with a late lunch, the walk back was enough to build up an apatite and the prices were much more reasonable than those in the more touristy spots. The metro line is at the station as an alternative. Even walking around up to 11:00 pm we felt quite safe.
“Friendly service”
We really liked this friendly and quiet hotel. The room was adequate and spotlessly clean, well equipped with things you sometimes find aren't there, like clothes hangers. Tiny shower cubicle, but it all worked fine, with plenty of hot water at all times. Don't believe what you read/hear about the area around Termini station being less than savoury - we found it ideal. A few doors up from the Hotel Contilia is an excellent Trattoria. Colosseum an easy and interesting walk, Santa Maria Maggiore and the Diocletian baths less than 5 minutes away, and lots of handy supermarkets, gelaterie and alimentari in the adjoining streets for tasty foodie top-ups. Thoroughly recommended.
