“First Rate Hotel”
Booked 2 rooms in late Aug 2009.Early check in was no problem, good location, safe and quiet. Will use Hotel again without any hesitation.
“A perfect experience”
My girlfriend (now my fiancee) stayed here in early June for a long weekend when I proposed. From the moment we arrived, the staff were fantastic, assisting us with every request we made, and an attention to detail that was excellent. We had read other reviews commenting on the breakfast, and they are all correct, it is magnificent. The location is fantastic, quiet and surrounded by some of the best restaurants I have ever found, yet just a few minutes walk from the Colosseum and the metro station
“WONDERFUL”
We were there for our silver wedding and the hotel was fabulous. The staff, from the maids to the doorman, to barman to the receptionists were the best any hotel has to offer. The surroundings were exceptional. All the little touches that the hotel provides excellent.Breakfast on the terrace was great. The romantic setting for evening dinnerwas great, as was the food. Can't recommend this hotel enough. Will definately go back.
“Will definitely return!”
Hotel is situated within easy walking distance of the Collesium. It's fairly small and modern - well decorated. Were made to feel very welcome as soon as arrived at the hotel. Although we got there early in the morning, the staff were able to let us check in and be allowed access to our rooms straightaway. We were given good info on places to visit and to eat at. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and clean. Every effort was made to accommodate our requests. Were booked on bed and breakfast only so cannot comment on other meals apart from first meal of the day, but enjoyed a good breakfast in the Roof Terrace - good choice and selection! Overall, the four of us were very impressed and would certainly go back there!
“Excellent base”
Lovely hotel, excellent location. Breakfast was very good. All in all much better than Roman hotels I've stayed in before. It's a nice easy 20 minute walk from Termini station which you can practice in advance with Google maps (we did)! Had a wonderful time and this was the perfect base. There are even a couple of nice places to eat in the next couple of streets (if they are trying to drag you in, don't go).
“Wonderful”
Wonderful hotel with great service. Location is fabulous in a convenient, quiet area with good restaurants, near the attractions but just far enough away to give peace and quiet. Will definitely be going back.
“A Gem!”
It was our first visit to Rome and it was only by my 'female intuition' that we booked at Capo d'Africa - what a great choice! We had an absolutely amazing five-day stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful, they helped us find specialty stores and recommended great bars and restaurants. The rooms are spacious and nicely furnished, the wireless Internet works everywhere. The sunny breakfast room on the top floor (with a large patio overlooking the Colosseum)serves a breakfast that will satisfy any traveller. We can't wait to go back!
“nice place”
clean quiet modern and friendly staff the breakfast was not as good as others I have had in Rome
“Excellent. Couldn't fault”
Excellent hotel. Really friendly staff and very close to the coleseum etc. Surrounding restuarants and bars really good. Would definately go back again
“Exceeded Expectations”
We selected Capo D'Africa based on the reviews here, and had high expectations. Booked via expedia because with airfare/package, the price could not be beat. The stay was everything we hoped for and more. Room was beautiful and spotless, concierge had arranged for flowers in the room upon arrival, they let us check in several hours early, lent us a plug adaptor when ours didn't work (go down to desk to ask/show what you need and they'll look for the right part), lent us an umbrella, etc. Breakfast was a good way to start the day, great coffee and continental style foods. Location was only 2-3 blocks from the Coliseum and we walked to everything except the Vatican (used metro with 1 train change to get there). Many shops and cafes within a few blocks of the hotel(for best prices try to find something closer to the hotel at least a full block away from Coliseum), plus some nice surprises if you explore the area - we visited a huge park and a beautiful church not in our guidebooks. We would definitely recommend it and stay there again.
