The staff made us comfortable and assisted a lot

Posted 22-Apr-2014
Pros: good location and friendly staff
Cons: assist with tours and charters.
Location: very good indian resturants around. The italian resturants around not the best.
The room was a bit cold but that was expected in April. The location was ideal. Howerever I woud recommend that Apollo has a closer relationship with tour guides and assist with bookings of these guides.

Very good location

Posted 17-Apr-2014
Pros: Comfortable room and good location.
Cons: Not a thing
Location: Colosseum, Forum and Museums.
I was pleased by where the hotel is situated, which was a very easy five minute walk from the colosseum. The breakfast was great and the children were made to feel comfortable. Good places to eat nearby and easy link to the metro (five minutes walk). My family and I had a smashing time much improved due to location and pleasant reception from the hotel staff.

Friendly hotel in funky area.

Posted 13-Apr-2014
Pros: Great bathroom, comfy bed and generous buffet breakfast on the roof terrace. It'salso nice and quiet considering the liveliness of the area.
Cons: They have a bit of a drains problem, which we solved by stuffing toilet paper in the bidet and sink plugholes - but the cleaner dutifully removed them
Location: As mentioned, great selection of restaurants and within a kilometer of the colosseum, St Peter's prison, Circus Maximus etc. Interesting shops.
It's in a great area for eating and drinking, run by nice helpful people and close to the colosseum and many other global ancient icons - all in easy walking distance.

A little gem of a hotel

Posted 28-Jan-2014
Pros: Very clean hotel, comfy beds, nice quiet rooms. Would stay there again without hesitation. My single room was spacious and well appointed.
Cons: Hotel doesn't offer to book sightseeing tours etc for you, but they will happily book taxis.
Location: Walking distance for Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon. If you're not afraid of a longer walk, you can comfortably walk to Vatican City as well.
A little gem of a hotel, and it is literally only 200 metres from the Colesseum - just turn left when leaving the hotel and the Colesseum is straight in front of you. Don't be put off by the somewhat nondescript, skinny building from the outside. Inside this hotel was perfect for my holiday.

Decent hotel in good location, staff a bit rude

Posted 7-Oct-2013
Pros: Location, rooms, breakfast
Cons: Friendliness of the staff
Location: Location is fantastic, very central and very near the Colloseum
Stayed here two nights (Fri and Sat), very good location with the Colloseum literally at the end of the road and a lovely square a few yards down with some nice bars and restaurants. Rooms are a good size and the breakfast was very good and served in a lovely room at the top of the building. The only negative was the friendliness of the staff - they were borderline rude on more than one occasion, which is a bit disappointing really as not what you want on a relaxing break. This hotel does what it says on the tin. I would recommend for the reasons above, but they really need to teach their reception staff some manners/etiquette.

Avoid this hotel-there are many better one

Posted 23-Jul-2013
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Staffing, room furnishings and cleanliness.
Location: Location is in ancient city close to many things.
We arrived at 5pm. The hotel is very old, rooms are very small. The airconditioning was weak at best, the internet service was out and they were not sure when it would be up, the rooms were dirty (hair on the sheets). I would not advise anyone to stay at this place. We walked up the street and there were 8 similar places with lower prices and better facilities. We did not stay one night of our reservation but left the place and found another hotel. We stayed at the Best Western Mondial just up the street where the rooms were twice as big, the staff was professional, the rooms were clean, and we had a great stay. THERE IS NO WAY THAT THIS PLACE IS A 4.6 out of 5.0. AVOID THIS PLACE, THERE ARE MANY BETTER IN THE SAME AREA.

Extraordinarliy good value for the location and si

Posted 13-May-2013
Pros: The location of the hotel & the size of my room
Cons: Breakfast
Location: Just out of the main Centro Storico, this is an area of real charm and character. Lots of good restaurants full of regulars.
This hotel has charm and character. The staff are very friendly and happy to help. My room was larger than i expected, and the marble bathroom was lovely. Breakfast wasn't appealing, but that was the only niggle. Extraordinarliy good value for the location and size of room.

Great location and comfortable hotel.

The hotel was very comfortable and the location was great. Just a few blocks away from the Coliseum and close to other must see locations like the Trevi Fountain, etc.

This was lovely. Close to the coliseum and forum. The neighborhood was walkable and seemed really safe. The only trouble was lack of parking but if you are traveling by public transportation this is reasonably close to those services
