“Beautiful Hotel”
This was a real find. You may not know but the hotel does have a shuttle into the town and right to the train station in Frascati. If you choose to walk..it is beautiful but a long climb back up the hill. The town itself, is charming. It was a breath of fresh air compared to Rome.
“Superb location with beautiful period furnishings. Ideal if you have your own transport.”
Beautiful villa with panoramic views. Local appointments made it an ideal base. Hidden away so not easy to find. Best to have a car which we did so didn't try the shuttle bus. Atmosphere peaceful, staff helpful, courteous + unintrusive. 4 single ensuite rooms on 5th floor were smallish but clean with comfortable beds, crisp linen, towels + toiletries + fridge with drinks + snacks. No kettle. If you want a glass box hotel it's not for you. Instead period charm + furniture in romantic environment. Superb, abundant breakfast presented beautifully, wide choice of beverages, cereals, yoghurts, juices, enormous macedonia fruit bowl, masses of croissants, breads, preserves, cheese and ham cold cuts. Sadly appointments prevented us from spending more time exploring the surroundings and relaxing in the hotel. If you want to discover the Castelli area which is a beautiful scenic area including countless fantastic restaurants, to which massive numbers of Romans flock on Sundays, hotel is a great base but not convenient for touring Rome, just a bit too far away. Internet not available in the rooms but computer for accessing emails. Would certainly return there again but probably could not afford the usual rates. I will be on the lookout for future offers and discounts though.
“Peaceful place & Awesome view!”
The Staff made me feel like home, amicable and willing to help. Great service and food, pacefull environmet and pretty instalations. Downside was the distance from the train station and few transport options. I would go back again!
“Nice but if you don't have car sometimes may feel too far away from civilization”
It s a nice hotel, with almost excelent service, easy to get Rome by train (20 minutes) although first you have to go from the hotel to frascati by using a shuttle. The shuttle service costs you from 4 to 5 euros dependings on how many people reserve the shuttle.
“Beatiful, quiet location for exploring the castelli romani”
This hotel isn't useful for exploring the centre of Rome, it's a bit too far outside. For visiting Frascati and the other Castelli Romani, or other sites outside Rome, e.g. Ostia Antica, Tivoli, if you have a car, this hotel is ideal. The restaurant served very good food, some interesting combinations, e.g. pumpkin and grapefuit ravioli. The service was excellent. The bathroom was in a bit of a disappointing state of repair, but otherwise clean and functional.
“great location need own transport”
great location for travellors with own transport
“Cadre très agréable et reposant à l''ecart de l'agitation de Rome”
Décor particulièrement agréable et environnement magnifique (la vue sur Rome est saisisante). Chambre propre et spacieuse. Hôtel calme. La piscine reste modeste. A noter qu'il faut environ 40 minutes en voiture pour accéder au centre de Rome.
“Nice hotel-- if you've rented a car”
This is a beautiful and historic hotel-- on the top of a very tall hill quite a ways from downtown Frascati. I did not rent a car, so that accessing the hotel was a hassle. They do have a shuttle service that I used several times, and it works. And seeing the traffic that the shuttle navigated in the morning, I'm still glad I DIDN'T rent a car. So I'd rather have had a hotel nearer INFN.
“Vue imprenable”
Voiture obligatoire.
“A dream hotel.....but, some conditions apply”
The hotel itself is just fantastic. The service is good, the view is magnificent, but you have to be ready either to rent the car to drive there, or to use the hotel shuttle service which is extremely inconvenient. We always waited for that shuttle at the train station for 30-45 min. I wouldn't advise to relay on it too much. They say that the walking distance from the hotel to the station is about 15 min. I didn't try, but still I don't think it is true...And even if it is true, the hotel stands on the top of the hill and surrounded by thick bushes on the steep slopes....Good luck for you if you want to try that route...Especially if you arrive at the station at around 9-10 pm. All the rest was perfect. I would definitely stay there next time if i could arrange my own transport.

Castelli Romani, Rome, Italy: Favoured as an out-of-town retreat for the Romans, the Castelli Romani are hilltop villages descended from fortified castles of the Middle Ages. Set on the outer rims of extinct volcanic craters of the Albani Hills, the air is refreshing and the rich, volcanic soil is ideal for vine-growing. Well-known for its crisp, white wine, Frascati is the most accessible of the Castelli Romani. Nearby is the Popes summer palace, the Castel Gandolfo.
