Not good.Posted 26-Nov-2013
It was very disappointing, the downstairs area had a nice lounge area and restaurant. The evening menu was well priced. However the rest of the stay was terrible. First of all the reception staff were not friendly in any way, no welcome or smiles. The check out was even worse, no extra communication from reception than they needed to, not even did you enjoy your stay. It felt like we were a problem for checking out. Our room was old, it had dirty walls, it also had huge ugly metal vents in the walls which at 7am ever morning had very loud noises coming through them. Sounded like the heating system, and when somebody flushed a toilet upstairs the noise came out our vents. The housekeepers started early in the morning and they were very loud. Banging on walls and knocking on doors. Also on our check out day, without a knock, a housekeeper unlocked our door and came in. At 8am, which wakend us. How hard is it to communicate with reception and find out if people have checked out before they come marching into a room at 8am. My job involes customer satisfaction surveys with every customer I deal with (which is daily) and they are taken very seriously, I hope what I have written can get back to the hotels management and get these issues looked at. Everything I have said is not unreasonable, and would not take a lot to sort these issues. Thank you.

Pleasant enough hotel.Posted 21-Nov-2013
As mentioned hotel pleasant enough, clean and of a good standard. Would recommend a room that does not overlook the street as it could be noisy at night. (We were on the second floor, 206, 207 and 208). Breakfast was good for me, plenty of toast, yoghurt and some tinned peaches, pineapple and pear. Shuttle bus good, runs everyday except Sundays. Do not go to this hotel if you want to be in the hub of the city or you will be disappointed. About a twenty minute train ride to the main attractions. Very little to do near by, as the hotel is located on the outskirts. We just stayed out all day, hotel was purely for sleeping really. Ate in the restaurant in the hotel one night, food okay, but I thought the restaurant lacked any atmosphere and was a little overpriced. Overall had a fab time in Rome.

Very nice and clean hotelPosted 19-Nov-2013
Pros: Breakfast. Sitting area, very stylish.
Cons: Quality of the mattresses. Very hard.
Location: Not in centre, but good. Well served by public transport. Only one bus, so service could be slow at night. Best Gelateria just 4 min away.
Hotel was very clean and beautiful. Rooms and toilets very nice. Didn't give full marks for comfort because the mattress was really hard and was very uncomfortable for my pregnant wife, but they offered extra pillows for her. Breakfast was lovely and plenty to choose from. I would definitely stay there again. Bus stop and train station is just 1-2 minutes away from the hotel. 4 min away from the hotel in Via Appiano is the best Gelateria.

Great hotel in a real Rome neighbourhood.Posted 3-Nov-2013
Great hotel in a genuine Roman neighbourhood with lots of local amenities. The hotel is a twenty minute walk from the Vatican but there is a regular bus to Piazza Cavour. The hotel offers a free shuttle to the Vatican and Piazza Cavour but you do need to book in advance. The hotel is also close to the Appiano rail station which is only one stop from the Valle Aurelia metro station providing a direct link to the city. Bus and metro tickets are available from the bar/tobacconists close to the hotel. The hotel itself is well presented and the old Vespa scooters in the lobby were a treat for an old Mod like me. The rooms were great, the free breakfasts very good and the meal we had in the restaurant was excellent. Staff are really helpful and efficient. This is our fourth trip to Rome and we would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Good value for pricePosted 31-Oct-2013
We were staying in Rome for three days but had rented a car for the following two weeks in Italy. It was imperative that we had a parking spot. I was surprised to find out how close we were to the main attractions in Rome. We took a bus home one night and it only took about 5-10 minutes. The restaurant in the hotel had excellent food and the morning breakfast was excellent. I would stay here again.

Good hotelPosted 27-Oct-2013
Nice hotel, quiet, but a little out of the centre. There was a free shuttle service into the city but only one returning from the city back to the hotel.

Limited access to shuttlePosted 21-Oct-2013
Pros: The hotel staff was very welcoming.
Cons: Get a bigger shuttle and offer afternoon drop/off times. (We lost half a day, because we didn't have transportation.) Get new pillows.
Location: The pizzeria was not great, however the bakeries, shops down the street were nice. If you forgot anything just go to Carrefour down the street.
Hotel Tiberio was just okay, and I would not recommend it to any one of my friends. One main reason why we stayed here was the "shuttle" to Vatican and City Ctr. However they only have one small van in operation which carries at most 6 or 7 adults/children. We are a family of 5 (two children plus an infant.) To our surprise we managed to get on the first shuttle only because it was the earliest available (quite early). When we arrived to the Vatican, we were quickly ushered out and did not book the pick up time. We were left without transportation because the only way to book pick up shuttle was upon your drop off. Also, there was only 1 afternoon pick up shuttle, so if someone already booked it, then you can't get on anyway. We couldn't book the pick up time in advance nor call the driver. The rest of the time was already booked. The pillows were extremely flat. Finally, the buffet was perhaps the highlight, but selection was just okay.
