Nice Hotel, 15 min walk to Vatican.

Posted 28-Feb-2015
Pros: Accessibility, shuttle service, availability of family rooms
Cons: In room facilities could use a bit of touch. You expect a bit more from a 4 star hotel.
Location: Vatican is very close by. Loads and loads of shopping :D. Great prices. Nice little shops with all sort of styles.
Nice hotel as overall experience. Free shuttle bus however is useful to note doesnot run on Sundays and also for other days you better book in advance if you are relying on this, however bus stop is just 1 min away and Taxi charges are very reasonable (from Closeo to the hotel they only charged €15.)

Prima hotel

Posted 25-Feb-2015

Posted 10-Feb-2015
The hotel is very nice & staff is excellent helpful to give you a tip/info. We stayed there for 6 Nations Rugby match - Italy v Ireland. It is but far from Rome city but Vatican is nearby. The room is very nice but bed/pillows is bit hard. Overall is valuable.

Excellent hotel for The Vatican

Posted 4-Feb-2015
I was in contact with the hotel before I stayed and the correspondence was excellent. The rooms were absolutely spotless and the bathroom was extremely clean. The room was a good size and the bed was huge. Breakfast was continental with lovely pastries and the coffee was excellent. There was bacon and eggs but not like a England but then we were in Italy so it did not bother me. Be aware though I was surprised that I had to pay 6 euros per person per night for tax. I was not aware of this but this was not the hotels fault. There is a free shuttle to the vatican which was very helpful. All in all I would recommend this hotel.

It's not that close to the Vatican or to the train

Posted 1-Feb-2015
Pros: Overall, there was a feeling of safety inside the hotel.
Cons: The neighborhood is smirched with graffiti. They should develop a campaign to clean it up. Food quality needs improvement. 4-stars is too many--3.3.
Location: Absolutely nothing to do or worth eating in the immediate environs.
The front desk staff were excellent, very agreeable and helpful. Scheduling shuttles and tours with them was easy. The restaurant staff were hot and cold, as was the food. Captives of a colorless neighborhood without inviting restaurants, we took all of our evening meals there. Breakfast was included. The scrambled eggs were watery and cold, and the other offerings were spare. The bacon was unrecognizable, not cooked to any standard of crispness. Hotel's two purported strengths, being close to the Vatican and to nearby rail service, were simply overstated. The Vatican can be reached with the same difficulty from several places in Rome. By no means would I say it is a 15 or 20 minute walk. Hotel did provide a free shuttle to the Vatican. but not back. Shuttle was not available to the Coliseum. We needed shuttle plus bus. The car service they arranged for airport pickup and return was on time. If you ask for two wake-up calls, you'll get only one. Rooms are tiny and clean. The beds are are rock hard. You'll be given replacements on request, but they're just as hard. Lounge area in the lobby was convenient inasmuch as I telecommuted for my work during the week we were there. Quiet enough rooms, until someone nearby flushes or uses shower.

Relativ zentrales Hotel in gutem Zustand

Posted 20-Jan-2015
