“When In Rome”

Although removed somewhat from Vatican City and other tourist areas the hotel is located near a subway which allows for easy access into the heart of Rome. The hotel also offers free shuttle services into the City Centre and to the Vatican. Limo service to the airport will cost you approx. 50 euros.

“Rome Hotel near Vatican”

Received free upgrade room. Staff used shuttle to take us to Vatican at last minute outside of usual shuttle hours. Didn't get to stay long, but extremely nice room and you can plug in home coffee maker with no problem as long as you have an adatpter. Excellent breakfast. Smallish outdoor pool, just didn't have time to go in.

“Will definitely go back next time in Rome”

The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The requests I had made was met immediately. The room was small but sufficient, with all the amenities necessary. This hotel offers complimentary breakfast with a wide range of selections. It was situated in the residential area just outside of the Vatican City, so it was a little far from central Rome, however, transportation was convenient since the bus stop is just right by the hotel. I recommend this hotel to anyone who wishes to visit Rome on a budget.

“Nice Hotel”

This is a great hotel to stay in to be close to the Vatican. It is about a 15-20 minute walk to the Vatican. The hotel is in a quiet residential area. There are several restaurants/bars within a 5-10 minutes walk. It is about 10 minutes to the nearest metro station.(Cipro) It is a good location to visit Castel Saint Angelo,Piazza del Popolo and other locations in the area. I ended up splitting my time in Rome, staying by the Colosseum for six nights and staying at the Grand Hotel Tiberio for three nights. The Grand Hotel Tiberio was way better value.

“Great hotel!”

Complimentary breakfast buffet was very good. Restaurant staff were efficient and friendly and the food was yummy. The garden pool was so nice to jump in after a long day exploring in the heat. Overall, I loved this hotel and would definitely return.

“Grand Hotel Tiberio Review”

Great hotel - close to the Vatican area. Free shuttle provided to Rome main attractions. Breakfast was ample. We stayed two nights prior to a cruise and ate at the hotel restaurant-good experience. Enjoyed several hours on the rooftop terrace looking outwards on many rooftops in Rome!

“Nice hotel but too far from sights and Metro.”

Breakfast was good and included, shuttle service was available daily to either the Vatican or court house near Piazza Navonna (only one way though), pleasant and helpful staff, plenty of towels. It's a lovely hotel but much too far from public transportation and located in a questionable neighbourhood. There was no shuttle service available back to the hotel only from hotel to city. Had to walk 1 km almost entirely uphill from Metro station to hotel at the end of every day.

“Mostly good”

Overall, the Grand Hotel Tiberio would be very nice if you don't mind a 45-minute journey via a couple of trains to get to and from the main areas of Rome. Our room and bathroom were modern, spacious, and clean. The hotel restaurant was reasonably priced and had good food and service. The complimentary breakfast buffet was extraordinary and something to look forward to each morning. Some negatives during our stay included rude service at the front desk, a leaky bathroom that resulted in a small flood every time we used the sink, the wi-fi was 20 euros/day, the complimentary toilettries never got replaced even though we stayed for 5 days, and, as mentioned before, the hotel was quite inconveniently located for sightseeing in Rome. However, the stay was comfortable and I would consider staying there again.

“One night in rome”

The hotel is situated close to the Vatican. We were able to walk there and back. The neighbour seemed quite safe, and the pizza take-out along the way was very good. the hotel staff were extremely helpful, and included breakfast a nice continental offering. the bed was definitely in need of upgrading - hard and no cushion to it, otherwise the room was very nice, and the hotel lovely. Great price! C & T
