Great Experience

Posted 31-Jul-2014
Great location, near bus stops which takes you to downtown Rome. Or you can simply park you car to the parking near Cipro subway station for as cheap as 3 EUR 16 hours. Hotel is nice and breakfast is great. Would recommend to friends. Not good if you are not driving.

Not convenient for sightseeing

Posted 28-Jul-2014
Pros: facilities were lovely
Cons: hotel map should have better bus directions. Example - Coliseum- Bus 990 transfer at pza Cavour for bus xxx
Location: 25 minute walk to Vatican
This hotel , while lovely, is not for the faint of leg or anyone with mobility limitations. The advertised shuttle runs only every 40 minutes from 8AM - 12Noon ish and holds only 8 people.( 6 runs at 8 people so 48 total). It runs only once in the early evening. The nearest Metro is 15 minute down a hill thru a working class area ( I live in a not gentrified area of NY city and walk everywhere so I am not a snob- just stating that its not scenic and the walk was strenuous). There is a regional train next door that can connect to the Metro. The most convenient is a city bus that is very close and runs close to Vatican and then to a plaza near the Tiber where you can walk to the area near the Spanish Steps- '10 minutes'. (We think in Italy everything is a '10 minute walk'. ) The hotel map does have buses listed for attractions but not how to get to those buses and the staff did not seem to know . The hotel itself is lovely and we enjoyed the garden and pool. My dad , who is 82, found a little rotisserie and had dinner there once- there is not much else in the area. We figured out additional buses and used taxis. In short = this is a lovely hotel but be prepared to plan your day carefully allowing 20-30 minutes for bus waits or long walks to and from the places you came to see.

Nice hotel just a bit to far out

Posted 25-Jul-2014
Pros: The hotel was lovely outside and inside I booked because it had a pool and free shuttle
Cons: The shuttle service it was booked out early , no problems going down but on return it was your pot luck if a space was available .
Location: Just a bit to far out
We only went for a short break this hotel was lovely plus an added bonus of a free shuttle but unfortunately you could only reserve a return with the driver , so if you went on earlier shuttles you got a lift home. Like us we were later and had to make our own back. I didn't know this at the time of booking or I would've stayed closer to town .

Good hotel, excellent restaurant

Posted 22-Jul-2014
Pros: Restaurant, fast and efficient taxi ordering service
Location isn't great if you can't walk far/up hills or don't have a car (though admittedly we didn't use the bus shuttle service that the hotel provides) but the hotel itself is good and the restaurant excellent

Nice hotel with pool

Posted 14-Jul-2014
Pros: Like having the outside space to sit and relax and to have the pool.
Cons: Would improve the 6th floor terrace. Nothing like the web site - no atmosphere at all. Should have a bar offering drinks.
Location: Not too far away from centre. Nothing to do near by so spent a lot of money on taxis's
Enjoyed our stay. Hotel pleasant enough but not exactly like web site. Shuttle bus good. Enjoyed pool facility although garden unkept and you will get bitten a lot . Not to a 4 star standard outside. 6th floor terrace lacks any atmosphere. Restaurant menu although had a variety of dishes was the same every night. Overall a nice hotel with helpful staff.

Very unaccommodating

Posted 13-Jul-2014
Pros: The food lacked the authentic Italian flavour we had been accustomed to on the trip which did not appeal to me but made it easy for my 13 year old.
Cons: Customer service, pillows and not market services that were only offered minimally like the shuttle and a pool which was an oversize spa.
Location: It was relatively close to the Vatican (20-30 minute walk)
The pool was an oversized hot tub, the shuttle to the main areas had limited access and availability, the pillows were horrible, and the hotel staff were not very helpful. I heard the word NO, more in this hotel over a 2 night stay then I have in the last month. Low water pressure. The lobby looked nice at first glance.

Not what I expect for the price.

Posted 8-Jul-2014
Very noisy early in de morning I could hear every step from outside, upstairs and more, really bad. Pool was very small with lots of mosquitos around, sauna was tiny as well and staff was rude. Breakfast was good and room clean. Will never go back.
