Great hotelPosted 11-Sep-2014
Excellent hotel. Food and service was good. Only drawback was that it was a bit far out from the city.

Helpful hotel staff but the rooms was noisy.Posted 11-Sep-2014
Pros: Hotel staff at the reception were helpful.
Location: There is a grocery shop near by which is convenient for buying fruits and other snacks. But it is not open weekends. A couple of restaurants near by.
The hotel locates at more like a residential area but on a main road. The deco and fittings in the rooms are a bit old. We are a family of four but were given two romms not next to each other. Both room were on the side of the building looking over the main road. So were noisy day and night.

Overall stay was good. Food could be better.Posted 6-Sep-2014
Pros: Swimming pool, Terrace, Breakfast was ok but scrambled eggs can be better. Small but useful Gym. ...and the Air Conditioned Room.
Cons: Food in the restaurant.
Location: A nice ice cream shop and a pizza takeaway near by. A shop behind the hotel was very very useful. It sold wine, beer, crisps. sandwiches, drinks...etc
The staff were nice and very attentive. The room was nice and big to fit a family of four. No noise and nicely air conditioned. Nice Swimming pool - though it was small - it was very entertaining for kids. Really nice furniture to sit in the garden area near the pool to sit and relax. Terrace was beautiful too. Shuttle service was very useful. Sometimes it was booked and had to catch a bus to get into Centre and Vatican City. On Sunday, there were no places to eat near the hotel. During weekdays it was difficult to find a decent place to eat as well. Though there is a nice Chinese and Pizza takeaway nearest to the hotel. Behind the hotel, there is a shop/bar/convenient store. Very nice and friendly people where you can buy all your everyday stuff as well as have a beer (and sit down and drink outside the shop)! You can buy the bus tickets and Metro tickets from there too.

Good location - 15 min walk to Vatican CityPosted 18-Aug-2014
Cons: Softer mattresses
Location: Not much nearby, however, there is a bus and a train around the corner and they have a free shuttle into Vatican City.
This hotel was perfect for our purposes. We wanted something with a pool since we were there in August. Staff was friendly and helpful. Our only complaint is that the mattresses were like sleeping on cement. If you like hard mattresses this place would be perfect!

Shocking location and rude staffPosted 11-Aug-2014
Pros: It was clean and the rooms and bathroom were spacious.
Cons: The staff, and the wifi
Location: The Vatican is the only main tourist attraction in walking distance. About a 20 - 25 minute walk. There are no restaurants in the vicinity
The previous reviews were misleading in terms of the hotel location which stated it was a 'great location.' This was the opposite. The closest major train station to get into town was a 10 - 15 minute walk away. There was nothing in walking distance of the hotel, no restaurants or shops or anything. It wasn't a great area to stay in and I wouldn't recomened it. It took a good hour to see all the major sights. The staff were rude, dismissive and unhelpful. My boyfriend and I asked for help on many occasions on how to get places etc and found the staff to be unhelpful. The wifi didn't work at all at night. It worked fine during the day but never connected at night. When we asked a staff member and reception she got out her phone and stated 'well mine's working' and laughed.

Affordable hotel with friendly staffPosted 10-Aug-2014
This is a very stylish hotel set in a residential area outside of the centre of Rome. The staff were lovely and we enjoyed our stay here. We had dinner in the hotel on one of our nights and the food was lovely. I would recommend The Grand Hotel Tiberio.

Couldn't fault it,Posted 5-Aug-2014
Pros: Great breakfast, spotlessly clean, lovely big bed
Location: Two or three great family run restaurants near by, cafe just around the corner
Read some crap reviews about how far it is from the centre of Rome, the hotel has a shuttle bus and is just around the corner from the train station and bus stops and if you're adventurous and reasonably fit take a walk
