Good hotel, quiet location.

Posted 3-Nov-2014
Pros: Location - literally one or two minutes from bus stop and Appiano train station. Clean, with nice bathroom.
Cons: Softer beds, with 2 pillows. Overhaul plumbing.
Location: Some restaurants nearby, which were marked on the map given by Reception. No sights very near.
We felt this hotel overall deserved its 4 star rating. The good things were cleanliness, decent breakfast, reliable WiFi signal. We really liked the location - a quiet residential area, but very handy for the 990 bus, and Appiano train station. One stop down from Appiano, and you can get on the Metro system. We downloaded a map of the bus routes in Rome, so we could see where the 990 route intersected with other routes. The only downsides have been mentioned before - noisy plumbing and firm beds (with only one pillow - we like two!). We had a family room, and the single beds for the children were much softer.

Pros: The restaurant
Cons: Beds could be more comfortable
The hotel is in the city but tucked away it's a ten minute walk to the metro and anything else. The restaurant is nice friendly serves good food.

The day I arrived the hotel, I was told by the manager that they were over booked. They must move me out to another hotel. Prior to my arrival, I had numerous emails with the hotel manager directly regarding picking up, etc. I was never told until my arrival date.

Nice hotel about 30 minutes walk from the Vatican.

Posted 21-Sep-2014
Pros: The hotel was very clean; great staff, nice restaurant and lots of facilities including a courtesy car to the city each morning.
Location: Not there long enough to look at the immediate location. There is a running / cycle track alongside the hotel
Arrived midday Monday; left Friday lunchtime but managed to fit in a visit to the Vatican, Forum and Colosseum, Piazza Navona, Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain (behind scaffolding at the moment :( ), Pantheon and the Castel St Angelo; plus a 2hr ride on the hop on hop off city tour bus. Would use the metro next time to save energy to walk round the sites. The nearest metro to the hotel is about 25 minutes but useful to get to the sites in the old city. There are a couple of buses that can be used as well but did not bother .. took the courtesy car most days to the city and walked back each evening. Great place to eat is near the Vatican as you approach St Peter's Square on the right-hand side. It is a self service cafe but the staff serve you and take you to a seat. You will not have your own table but seems to work quite well. Wherever you walk you will find something take your interest. Zebra crossings are a bit scary. Best advice is ... if they hit you they get into lots of trouble so with care step onto the crossing and they will stop. Better still follow the locals. Cannot praise the staff enough. All very friendly and helpful.

Great hotel

Excellent hotel. Food and service was good. Only drawback was that it was a bit far out from the city.

Helpful hotel staff but the rooms was noisy.

Posted 11-Sep-2014
Pros: Hotel staff at the reception were helpful.
Cons: renovation.
Location: There is a grocery shop near by which is convenient for buying fruits and other snacks. But it is not open weekends. A couple of restaurants near by.
The hotel locates at more like a residential area but on a main road. The deco and fittings in the rooms are a bit old. We are a family of four but were given two romms not next to each other. Both room were on the side of the building looking over the main road. So were noisy day and night.

Overall stay was good. Food could be better.

Posted 6-Sep-2014
Pros: Swimming pool, Terrace, Breakfast was ok but scrambled eggs can be better. Small but useful Gym. ...and the Air Conditioned Room.
Cons: Food in the restaurant.
Location: A nice ice cream shop and a pizza takeaway near by. A shop behind the hotel was very very useful. It sold wine, beer, crisps. sandwiches, drinks...etc
The staff were nice and very attentive. The room was nice and big to fit a family of four. No noise and nicely air conditioned. Nice Swimming pool - though it was small - it was very entertaining for kids. Really nice furniture to sit in the garden area near the pool to sit and relax. Terrace was beautiful too. Shuttle service was very useful. Sometimes it was booked and had to catch a bus to get into Centre and Vatican City. On Sunday, there were no places to eat near the hotel. During weekdays it was difficult to find a decent place to eat as well. Though there is a nice Chinese and Pizza takeaway nearest to the hotel. Behind the hotel, there is a shop/bar/convenient store. Very nice and friendly people where you can buy all your everyday stuff as well as have a beer (and sit down and drink outside the shop)! You can buy the bus tickets and Metro tickets from there too.

Great hotel and brilliant service

Posted 24-Aug-2014 on Hotels.com
Around 15 mins walk to the cipro tube stop which connects easily to everything you could want to visit. We only stayed one night but the service was excellent and the breakfast was great. Not too busy, really clean. We visited with our young kids and the hotel staff weren't phased at all. Their friendliness was more than the usual that you get from Italians but really helpful and considerate e.g offering different room options for us. Would very happily return.

Good location - 15 min walk to Vatican City

Posted 18-Aug-2014
Cons: Softer mattresses
Location: Not much nearby, however, there is a bus and a train around the corner and they have a free shuttle into Vatican City.
This hotel was perfect for our purposes. We wanted something with a pool since we were there in August. Staff was friendly and helpful. Our only complaint is that the mattresses were like sleeping on cement. If you like hard mattresses this place would be perfect!
