“Refreshing, modern and comfortable”

After two weeks in historic areas of Rome, Florence and Siena the Club Isola Sacra Hotel near the airport was a refreshing night of modern comfortable elegance at an affordable price. We found dining in Italy to be expensive in most of the tourist areas of Rome, Florence and Siena the Club Isola Sacra had excellent food at what for Italy was very reasonable price and was one of the best diners we had during our two weeks in Italy. The weather was fantastic and unseasonable warm I regret they had closed the beautiful pool at the hotel because it looked very inviting. (we were there the second week in October 2011) The shuttle service to the airport was easy to schedule and eliminated many of the hassles of trying to get from downtown Rome to the airport. The shutlle dropped us of at the proper terminal in less then 15 from the hotel. My wife and I walked in the surrounding neighborhood and found a quaint little bar down the road very local and not touristy, we also walked along the marina for awhile viewing the luxury yacths and sailboats on the Tiber River that access the nearby Mediterranean Sea We would definitely stay at Club Isola Sacra again when returning to Italy.

“WOW - Could not recommend more - such good value for money”

After a pretty horrific day involving missing our flight home and being stranded in the airpport with no bed, we booked into this average looking hotel advertised on Expedia. Our expectations were not high as we were bedding down for a few hours before a very expensive replacement flight the following morning. We were not disappointed! They have clearly had a lot of building work around the hotel and a massive extension put on accommodating about another 50 rooms I would guess. Although when we went it was very nearly finished I imagine it would have taken just days to put the finishing touches on the new wing. Massive room, with large balcony over looking the pool. Lounge area with leather sofa-come-sofa bed with large wall mounted tv and separate bedroom again with another large wall mounted tv and super king size bed. The bathroom/wet room had a large jacuzzi and very high tech shower with colour changing spa lights. Breakfast was fine and shuttle buses were put on for airport transfers. Taxi cost EUR 15 from Fuimicino to hotel and staff were helpful. JUST WHAT WE NEEDED AFTER OUR STRESSFUL DAY!

Nice hotel with restaurant, with early breakfast and late dinners, very convenient for early flights. Pc's and internet connection in lobby for visitor's use.

Hotel located in decent neighborhood. Not to far from airport. Would recommend this hotel for short stays. Hotel has shuttle to/from airport for 6 Euro. Taxi I was told could run as much as 25 Euro.

“Good location room for improvement”

This hotel has a good near FCO airport. The property has been updated, rooms are well furnished, and has potential but it still seems to be in shakedown with new management.

1. We stayed there 4 nights while in and out of Rome which was our hub. I was very disappointed that the price doubled after the 1st stay there. 2. The Shuttle was hard to identify so we could never use it from the airport to the hotel. It should have a good sign with Club Isola Sacra Hotel on it so it would be easier to identify. As it was we had to take a taxi that cost 30 euros. VERY EXPENSIVE for the short distance. We appreciated the Shuttle pick up at the hotel. 3. Overall is was a good hotel or I would not have chosen it for 4 stays.

“Not going back”

Sorry I can't recommend this hotel. We stay at this hotel when going to Roma. Because of the eruptions of the volcano we couldn't leave Italy and they doubled the price on the rooms . We left the hotel and went to the airport to check if we could get a flight out but no was the answer . We called the hotel and asked if would stay that night but the price would be double !!! WOW !!! I asked why and the answer was .. it's what is happening. That's a horrid thing to say to people that are experiencing major STRESS. I just can't give my money to greedy people that lack compassion. The street the hotel is on is disgusting filthy this could be troublesome for many travelers. On a positive note there is a fabulous restaurant called La Locanda on the same street ...very short walk.

“Disappointing....we left”

We initially booked this room based on the reccomendation of a friend. In hindsight we should have done a little more research on the hotel before we booked it. The hotel itself was clean and modern and the staff was freindly. Our complaint was that our room was a shoebox, also the a/c unit was not functioning. We called the front desk to enquire and we were told that it was not yet hot enough outside to have the a/c units turned on (it was 25 degrees Celsius outside). Rather than stay we called the Hilton at the Rome airport and booked a room there.
