“I wanna stay there again,”
Room is clean.Service is good. Breakfast is great too. There is nothing bad about this hotel, but its location. The location is kinda far away from the closest subway, 10-15 mins walking-distance. But I enjoy staying the hotel with my wife.
“Great Hotel - Great Location”
We booked a triple room for my wife, myself and our 10 year old son - the hotel was very accomodating and set up a roll-away bed without any problems. The staff also arranged for a car to pick us up and return us to the aiport at our arrival and departure. The room was good sized and the included breakfast was really nice - the staff was very friendly and helpful. The complimentary music library and sound systems in the rooms are also alot of fun. The hotel is situated approximately 15 minutes by foot from Vatican City and there is a metro station 10 minutes away by foot that connects to all of the other major Rome locations. We highly recommend the hotel to anyone going to Rome!
“Franklin Hotel- Feel The Sound…What a find!”
The hotel has a musical theme- novel idea. As with all hotels a small amount of noise with guest arrival and departures. Warm and friendly welcome from reception staff Simona or Claudia (Nickolette? – late evenings). They speak English quite well and are only too pleased to help with all enquires. Breakfast staff is also very friendly and helpful. You only have to request a hot drink and they will bring it to you (sometimes with a smile). The hotel is very clean and décor is good. Rooms are made up daily, thoroughly. We stayed in a triple bedroom which was adequate in size. The air conditioning is effective and if too noisy can be set to low. Music in the bathroom was excellent. Situated in a quiet residential area close to public transport links the hotel location is very good indeed. Just around the corner is a bus stop for the 23 and 70 buses. Bus 70 (nearside stop) will take you to metro station Ottaviano and I think Termini station. If you want to return to the hotel using the metro and bus then it is best to catch the bus at line A metro station Lepanto. If you want to travel to the Vatican Museum or St. Peters by bus then take the 23 (nearside stop). If you continue on this bus it will eventually take you past a small pyramid to your right. If you get off here at Piramide metro station you can take the train to Ostia Lido, a 40 min journey to the beach! You can use your bus/metro ticket on this train. Well done Franklin Hotel staff and owners.
“Definitely going back”
Really lovely, helpful staff, rooms were very clean, if 'compact', and breakfast was good. We had a horrendous journey to Rome but cheered up completely as soon as we got to the hotel as they were so nice. They also gave us loads of good tips about where to go and when.
“Cool refuge in Rome”
This is a very comfortable modern hotel with unique and amusing sense of style and very pleasant staff; it's slightly out of the way location meant the street was quiet and the hotel restful. I'd go back for sure.
“Franklin My dear, I Do Give A Damn”
Never stayed in an hotel with a mirror ball in the bathroom before, much less with snare drums as bedside tables. The "Sound" theme was a bit "h'mmm!" but well executed and being able to borrow from 4,000 CD's to listen to music in the room (and piped into aforementioned bathroom) was great fun. Nice, clean room, four-piece bathroom, very clean, very helpful staff (getting us info on the Vatican Museums which are 5 minutes' walk, which is why I chose this hotel) and recommending two places to eat (one - ZiGaetana, we would go back to, the other - Constanza, we would not). Buffet breakfast was plentiful and you could eat it out in the town garden under an awning. We would definitely return!
“ROME <3”
Clean, Friendly and cheap. Landing at 8pm and trying to find hotel was a little harder than expected but once there the locationw as very easy in the daylight!! Could do with another toaster as there was a queue in the mornings, also only have about 6 tables in the dining room. Reception were really useful and helpful for calling taxis and bookking tables at resteraunts.
“Hôtel Franklin feel the sound”
Très bel hôtel, bien placé ( proche du Vatican et du métro). Le personnel est vraiment très accueillant, serviable et fait un effort pour parler français. Ce sera notre hôtel de prédilection pour un autre séjour à Rome. A ne pas manquer !
“Funky, fun hotel”
excellent staff at the hotel. Very helpful and friendly. Rooms were very neat and clean and unusal with the 'music' theme. good location, close to the vatican. close to a few really nice restaurants. breakfast was very good.
“A friendly hotel”
We enjoyed our stay in this friendly hotel. It was unusually bright and modern - a contrast to more traditional older places. Our 17 year old enjoyed the musical ambience, the drums (visual not audio!) and the CD player. It was very convenient for visiting St. Peter's and the Vatican as well as accessing the Metro.
