“Loved our stay!”

We loved our stay at City House in Rome! Daniella was a wonderful host! She was friendly, helpful, spoke good English, and her hard work keeping the place clean and inviting showed. The room and bathroom were very nice and we were thankful for the AC.

Definitely the best hotel (out of 3) I stayed in during a week long break in Italy. Can't fault the place, from its location (less than a minute walk to the Pantheon, so a great base to go exploring from and very useful for dropping stuff off during the day) to the way in the B&B is kept (clean and tidy), to the service Daniela gives - very friendly, great recommendation for a place to eat and breakfast brought to your room. The place is a home from home. If all you want is a bed to collapse in at the end of the day, breakfast (it fills a tray!) in the morning to keep you going during the day and this is all you need in Rome then this is the one. Yes, the sign on the wall is small - this isn't Las Vegas and anything bigger would spoil the building.

We were happy with this hotel room; Excellent location, clean and airy rooms (high ceilings). The proprietor has also another place in Trastevere, an apartment flat, where you can get a room with private bathroom, for a little less money. There are trams and buses just about every 5 minutes where this apartment is to Plaza Argentina.

“A perfect location!”

The city house B&B has the MOST amazing location for saying in Rome. We were gobsmacked to discover that the hotel was actually next to the Pantheon. For the price we couldn't believe the location - i'd have expected to pay a lot more for such a prime spot. We were a family of 3 travelling to Rome with a four month old baby. Daniella, the hostess, had arranged a pick up for us from the airport. I'd definitely recommend doing this if offered as a taxi may have cost upwards of 80euros and her driver only charged 45euros. The hotel was clean, very pleasantly decorated and felt like a little house in the heart of the city. Great for popping back to to get changed, leave shopping bags etc! We opted for a shared bathroom which we were a little apprehensive about, however, it was never an issue. It was kept spotlessly clean and we only shared it with one other couple who we hardly saw. Daniella brought us breakfast each morning and although the breakfast was very average, the coffee was superb. Considering we're new parents and a little frazzled at the thought of taking a 4 month old abroad, Daniella made us feel so welcome and showered the baby with lots of kisses! Inwoul definitely recommend staying here if you're not too bothered about the creature comforts of a big hotel. City house is more like an apartment with 6 rooms but is just perfect I you're looking for a place to lay your head and have an amazing base o explore Rome from. I would use this hotel again without a doubt.
