“Highly recommended”
The hotel was very clean and pleasant although based amongst high-rise housing blocks. The tube station was only 5 minutes walk away and Termini (main tube station) was only 15 minutes on the tube. The rooms were of good size and the beds were comfortable. Beds made daily and fresh towels left every other day. Nice balcony. Breakfast was worth the 5Euros. Reception staff were very friendly and spoke very good English. The cleaner couldn't speak English and tried to clean room at varied times (9am - 1pm). We would highly recommend this hotel for those wishing to save a few pounds whilst having a quality experience.
“Exactly what we needed”
This hotel located 2 small blocks from the metro station and bus stops allowed us to easily and inexpensively get whereever we wanted. It was great to have an English speaking staff to assist us. They were very friendly and accommodating and I felt like I had friends in a foreign country in case of need. A good clean room, firm bed, and sizeable bathroom were all we wanted and This place had it, along with a convenient and healthy breakfast opportunity on a covered, fresh air porch to start each day just right. I'd go back tomorrow. Excellent value. Nearby restaurants and ATMs and stores in this non-tourist neighborhood provided less expensive shopping and dining alternatives.
“agreablement surpris!”
“Great Place for people on a budget”
This hotel was great. It is a metro ride away from the city and after 9pm, buses replace the metro, which takes a while. But overall, we really were happy with our stay. Great deal and free internet in the lobby. The restaurant next door is really good and cheap. Do not forget to go to the Aqueduct Park, one of the best things we did in Rome and only a short walk from the hotel. I highly recommend this for a leisurely traveler who does not mind a bit of a trip to see the sights.
“Excellent place to stay”
We were after a place where we could simply sleep and shower, wanting to spend the majority of our stay out and about in Roma. If you want to do the same, this is an ideal place to stay and it is only takes 15 mins to get into central Roma (including walk to the subway stop).
“Voyage reservé pour mes parents”
ce voyage à été un cadeau fait à des retraités n ayant pas trop l habitude de voyager. mais ayant l habitude de l hotellerie en général ils sont revenus enchantés tant pour la situation de l hotel situé à proximité immediate du métro que par les chambres spacieuses trés rare à rome surtout ds ces budget quartier populaire et animé avec tres bon restos à des prix plus abordable que dans le centre situé a 10minutes de metros
“Would Recommend”
I had a wonderful experience at the City Guest House. The staff were very helpful and nice, the one girl even gave me her italian/english dictionary from home to help me learn some phrases.
“Brilliant for the price, and very convenient”
This is a great little find - only 10 mins from the heart of Rome by metro (less than 2 mins from a Metro station), you get your own front door key, clean and decent room, and a full breakfast is available for only 5 euros. Most importantly for me, there was air-conditioning, which was such a blessing as it was 40 degrees outside! Plus there's a nice restaurant and bar right next door, perfect for weary travelers. I will definitely be using this hotel again.
“Very convenient for the Centre of Rome and would fully recommend”
The Guest House is basic so don't book if you want 5 star but everything else about my stay was 5 star. Only 9 stops and 15 minutes away from the Main Station namely Termini. The Metro stop you need to get off is called Numidio Quadrato. All you need to do is look out for the Tuscolana Shopping Center once you get off the Metro and when you cross over keep to the right pass some shops and then follow the road keeping to the left this time. Once at the end you will see the Guest House straight ahead over a sometimes busy main road. The Guest House is nothing flashy but it does not pretend to be either and more importantly the reception staff were probably the nicest I've ever met. They were very welcoming and did speak good English. Breakfast was 5 Euros but you could get it for 3 if you intended to have it every day and is the usual continental type, well worth the money. The restaurant next door did great food but we only went the one time.It was expensive but worth it, they did not do pasta but the pizza and the fillet steak were to die for. As for Rome, well it's truly am amazing City mixing New with the Old and I 'd suggest you stay for 4 days or more to get the most out of your trip. The Cityu Guest House gets a thumbs up for price, friendliness of reception staff and proximity to the Centre of Rome.
“Our Home in Rome”
I really like this hotel. It's located within walking distance of the Metro Station, which was a plus since we used public transportation to get around Rome. I loved the cleanliness of our room. The front desk personnel were extremely helpful and nice.
