“Elegant Lodgings”
Beautiful accommodations, and close to sites.
“Would go again”
Good location, 5 minute walk to Lepanto Stn (Rome Metro). Friendly and helpful staff, room cleaned daily with shampoo and shower gel replenished daily. Breakfast was very good standard. I would definitely use this hotel again when I go back to Rome.
“a little 'jewel' in the crown of hotels.”
We had been looking forward to the trip too Rome for months. The hotel is situated in a superb area for seeing all the great sights. The Vatican and the Vatican Museum are within easy walking distance(700m). If you like to Shop take a right when leaving the hotel and keep walking you will come to the main shopping area with many large stores. There is an outdoor market here were we purchased lunch for three for a mere 9 euro, and then picniced in the piazza. The hotel itself is very clean and comfortable. The buffet breakfast is amazing all sorts of breads, fruit, meats, eggs, cakes etc.. unlimited teas and coffee. The gent at the bar makes a mean Irish Coffee. There are street maps available at reception and majority of staff are very helpful when in need of directions are recommending somewhere to eat. The limitless Piazzas with thier fountains offer an abundence of chioce resturants. Will definitely return soon. Early March is a very good time of year to go as not too hot and the queues are not too long.
“Recommended Stay.”
We stayed for 2 nights and everything was very good. We were happy to with the hotel location, very central with a 10 minutes walk to the Vatican. The front counter staff were very helpful and polite. The charge for the car parking could have been slightly cheaper but it seemed secure and the car parked safely. Didn't use room service so can't comment. Everyone spoke good english and although there was at least one coach party in, we really didn't feel they were there and could use the breakfast room and bar OK.
“We would gladly go back”
From our arrival to our departure we were treated very well indeed. The Reception area was very cooperative and very willing to answer all our questions about how to get to the various places we wanted to visit. The hotel itself is very well situated so that we could walk to most tourist attractions (ex. Vatican, Piazza Nnavona, Spanish Steps, Trevi fountain...) Breakfast was satisfying and very well organized. Only one drawback and that was the air-conditioning unit was not functioning very well but we adapted to the temperature of the room by opening the window. We were there during the winter so I hope they have better controls in the summer... We would recommend this hotel from the 6th floor that we were on. the
“Good hotel, everything I expected, good location.”
The hotel is in a great location. We opted to use the bus from the airport to the start of the metro line. The bus cost 1 Euro each. The metro cost 1 Euro to the "Lepanto" metro station. The hotel is 6 blocks away, no more than a 5-7 min. walk. From the hotel you are no more than a 10-15 min. walk to,St Peters,Spanish Steps,Trevi Fountain & piazza nevonna which is a great place to eat. We would definitley return to this hotel. The reviews on the hotel we read prior to our visit were a bit off putting but dont be. This is a good hotel.
“Good stay in Rome”
This was an excellent modern hotel between the Vatican and the Tiber River. It was well maintained with helpful staff. It was within walking distance from both the Vatican and the old city - right across the river from the Pantheon. I would definitely coose it again on another trip to Roma.
“Excellent Hotel”
very satisfied with the service and location of this hotel.
“Very Good Centrally located Hotel in Rome”
The hotel was very nice with a very good breakfast buffet, which we took advantage of every morning before we left on tour. The staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. Also, the room was more than adequate. I recommend this hotel to anyone who is staying in Rome.
“Highly recommended!”
Other than a few hiccups when we first arrived, we enjoyed our stay at Cicerone immensely. The service was exceptional. Everyone we spoke to was courteous, and spoke English very well. We booked tours through the hotel without issues. The location was incredible, it was really close to everything we wanted to see. I would definitely recommend this hotel, and will go back there without hesitation.
