Nice Hotel in central locationPosted 17-Apr-2014
Cons: Wifi in rooms.
One staff member was really nice, the rest were just ok. Breakfast was simple but adequate. Wifi is only in the lobby, so not in rooms. Rooms were small. All in all it was ok for simply sleeping in Rome. It was central location very close to train station and it was even possible to walk to the Colosseum (a bit of a walk, but possible)

Quite a nice hotel, not four star but goodPosted 7-Apr-2014
Pros: It was clean, and the breakfast was plentiful and very adequate. Very near the Bus and Rail Stations
Cons: The hotel could be modernised. It was clean and tidy but a bit dowdy
Location: Good location as I have already said, good small restaurant across the street. Had a meal in there every night of my stay
After booking a large bed I was given a single room, however I was shifted the next day into a double room at no extra charge. The hotel stated that they had been asked for a single room

Not a 4 Star HotelPosted 3-Apr-2014
Pros: The staff were friendly and helpful.
Cons: Having Tea/Coffee facilities and a kettle for starters, Also having WiFi in the rooms
Location: Colosseum was about a 25 minute walk. The train station and bus stop was not even 5 minutes away. Plenty of restaurants nearby.
This hotel does not have any tea making facility in the room. There is also no Kettle. Therefore not great if you have babies on formula. I stayed in a double bedroom but this basically had 2 single beds put together, My child kept getting stuck in the middle when the beds started to move apart. Breakfast was appalling. Just bread buns, ham, cheese boiled egg, yogurt, cereal, tea, coffee and juice. The WiFi is only in the lobby and not in the room. There was no lift to get in to the hotel. We had to carry our pram up and down a flight of about 15 steps. Once inside there is a lift. We went to Rome end of March and it was boiling. The A/C in the room was working but not efficiently.

Three nights in RomePosted 30-Mar-2014
Cons: It's not very big hotel so if they provide wi fi service in the room, would add extra attraction.
Location: The hotel is just a minute walk from termini station.....everything is close by. Take the bus and go anywhere you would like to visit.
Conveniently located hotel and it provided decent breakfast too. Since the hotel is very centrally located, I was skeptical about the noise but our rooms were very quiet.

Champagne PalacePosted 29-Mar-2014
I had read all the reviews before my wife and I arrived. So I knew that there was no wifi in the room and that the hotel was a bit dated and the breakfast left some to be desired. This is all true. However the hotel had charm in its ages that I found endearing. I did not travel to Rome to play on my phone, and what was available for breakfast was fine. I enjoyed my stay at the champagne palace. It was conveniently located and met all of our needs.

Fantastic location to get to the terminiPosted 8-Mar-2014
After seeing reviews for other hotels I was worried about the safety and being so close to the termini, but it's safe as houses and the hotel staff seem to be on the ball watching who comes in and out, the safe is excellent we had to put in a code so no one else would know it! The cleaners came everyday replaced shampoo and toiletries clean towels! Food continental but that's the way they live we can't have a full English all the time can we haha I felt safe it was clean and had a good view overlooking the city!!!
