“camping, well chalet!”
spot on! got the 4 bed chalet upgrade for me and my daughter loads of room unless u are tall,(mind your head on the lampshade) had its own decking outside with a picnic bench, 2 en-suites so own bathroom each.the rest of the site was great, restaurant ciao bella was typical good italian food which had a takeaway menu. the pools and jacuzzi's were decent as well it would be a great place to stay in the summer lads holiday, girls hol or family hol. good location for vatican only 5 mins away in taxi, but if u have more time than i did get the bus or train around taxis so expensive. defo stay here again!
“Definitely recommend!”
Although a little far from the centre of Rome, Camping Roma was a very nice place to stay. even if you are 40. Staff were very helpful and all spoke English. The tourist information provided on site was very helpful and sold tickets for the bus and metro as well as all the tourist sites. Bungalow very warm and cosy even in February with snow outside. Easy to get into the city centre using buses and metro. Food on site was very reasonable and tasty. Overall, very enjoyable stay and would definitely recommend.
“Good, clean, basic accommodation”
I stayed here for a week at Easter with my two sons (9 and 11). The chalet was basic, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The only slight disappointment was that the pool wasn't open when we stayed but the weather wasn't that great anyway. There were great transport links into central Rome and a big supermarket directly opposite so it was very convenient. I would definitely recommend Camping Village Roma to anyone looking for good value budget accommodation in Rome.
“A lovely place”
For the price this is a great place to stay. My only criticism is that I stayed in a Bungalow and the water temperature wouldn't stay constant which made showering very difficult. There are cheaper places in the camping village to stay than the Bungalow but I didn't see it advertised on the site here. There are tents and you can stay in them by self or with others and that is cheaper or if you have your own tent they have really cheap sites. Not perfect, there may be people being a bit loud at night, the jet pools aren't heated, but overall for the price it's awesome.
“Perfect for a Roman holiday”
We had a brilliant time here. Easy to accessthe city but far enough away for peace and quiet. A good supermarket on site and an even better one across the road. Buses stop right outside the campsite or the train station is a 5 minute walk away. Even better is the campsites own Vatican shuttle, it runs every hour and costs 2 euro for return ticket. The pools were great, the pool bar was even better, the perfect way to finish off the evening. 3 bottles of Becks for 7 euros kept my son happy. The restaurant on the campsite was very reasonable and served lovely food, the only drawback was there was no coffee or tea, only cold drinks, BUT you could get a coffee at the pool bar. I wouldn't describe the bungalows as self catering as there was no kettle, crockery or cutlery so you could not do your own catering, you had to have meals out. The site has it's own shuttle bus for the airport too which is a good idea. You could buy bus tickets and passes for attractions at the reception and the staff were all really friendly. We did get fined 50 euros as we weren't told you had to validate the ticket when you get on the bus. The ATAC bus drivers and conductors were rude, arrogant and out to make a fast buck so beware.
“Great family campground close to Rome”
This is a good campground for families and kids alike. Nice store on site and laundry area. Also store across the road from campground. Great multilingual staff are very helpful. Bus stop right in front of campground. Kids loved the pool.
“Bakr Hassanen”
- Good hotel / Good price - The hotel close from big supermarket working from 9AM to 9AM - 2 min waking to the bus stop so you can easily access to Roma wondering areas - The room's small but in General it is good for customers not spend long time in their rooms - Staff so friendly - Wi-FI zone not strong so many customers go to internet services office to obtain better connection - Shuttle bus from / to Airport very good services - In case you will stay one week, I recommend buy weekly pass for Roma transit - Option of checkout and leave your bags in the services office.
“Noise levels”
Overall very good experience, only negative was loud noise. Due to very thin seperatnig walls and loud group next door we had very little sleep.
“review for Camping Village Roma”
Sylvia, the lady at reception was so helpful. Not all of the facilities were open due to the time of year but everything that was open were good. The maid on the last day was a bit frustrating as she wanted to clean the room but due to the fact of the snow Sylvia had said we could use the room until we left as we could not go anywhere. Very basic but as a base to go to Rome it is very good.
“Plaisant”
Ce camping est l'endroit parfait où aller. Le personnel est très accueillant et aimable, le camping est de bonne qualité.
