“A Testaccio da Max: nice for the price but a pain to find”
The hotel was quite nice, with a nice and clean bedroom. However: 1. don't go there for the breakfast. It's ok but nothing very special 2. It's a pain to find it: you really need to have the exact address and to print a big google maps before going there. There is almost no sign on the door and it's located in a very small street, so be ready to look for it quite some time. 3. Finally, make sure you call before going there !

This peaceful, mainly residential quarter has leafy gardens, churches and cloisters. It also incorporates colourful Testaccio, site of the citys old slaughterhouse where many locals once worked, and inns serving traditional Roman cuisine. Its now a thriving area of good restaurants, shops, bars and clubs.
