“Fine but there are better for same money.”
This hotel was clean but VERY old. Awkward layout of hotel and difficult to get to our room. Not recommended for those with any difficulty walking or in wheel chairs.
“Convenient but at a price”
The hotel was clean but not well maintained. The staff was very helpful. We stayed on "first" floor which is actually half below ground and could not get rid of the humidity in our room. A/C is individual room units. VERY convenient to Mayo and St. Mary's Hospital at a much lower cost than the downtown hotels.
“not impressed”
Carpet was old and dirty, beds were uncomfortable.
“Falling down”
It was a clean hotel and that's about it. The ceiling above our shower was falling down and the outside of the building had some major issues. We told the front desk that we didn't have a clock in our room and we had to go down again before they finally delivered one. Other than that it was comfortable, but I think I'll take an upgrade next time to another hotel.
“poor hotel”
Closing the pool? Beds sucked, shower leaked...will NOT be back here.
“Constant noise outside.”
There is a processing plant just to the NE of the hotel that is in operation throughout the night. The sound from the plant could be heard through the closed windows all night. Guests are allowed to have pets on the 3rd floor of the hotel and there are signs posted that pets are not allowed in the breakfast area, yet, while I was eating my breakfast there were 2 large dogs that were allowed to roam the area, including stopping to stare at my food. The staff at the desk spoke to the dogs owner to say good morning, but did nothing to discourage the dogs presence. There was a strange odor in the lobby. The TV in the lobby was damaged and the volume was kept at near-deafening levels. I will not return.
“Never going back!”
I wish I would have read the reviews before I booked the room. All the negative comments were correct! Musty smoke smell in non-smoking room. Dirty halls. Furniture in our room was filthy and literally falling apart. We were not sure if the TV table would collapse or not. I never took my shoes off the whole time. Curtain was hanging by only two hooks and totally flew off the rod when I opened it. One ice machine did not work at all and the other one took several minutes to only produce snow cone ice. Positives were the sheets were bright white, clean and pressed. The towels were clean and white, but very small. The breakfast offered many options.
“Cheap hotel”
The beds are cheap (expect to bounce a lot), the spa was covered up in the pool area, and the pool is very small 15’ x 20’ and 5’ deep, more of a floating area then a swimming pool. We could hear the people above us walking constantly do to the ceiling, floor squeaking and the hallway door slams so any room by the door will hear the banging throughout the night. We wedged the door open, but they didn’t allow that to stay do to it being a “fire” door. 2 night stay, might have gotten 4 hours sleep total.
