“Definitely recommend ths hotel”
If you want the usual "cracker box" modern hotel, with "cookie cutter" service (you need to look at the sign out front to remind you which one you're in) then don't come here. The lobby is charming, the service professional and friendly, and the restaurant and bar staff make your visit a sheer delight! The picketers, we learned, are outsiders trying to unionize Rochester hotels, they aren't even hotel employees anyplace! Room was clean and very comfortable-best night sleep in a long time!
“Perfect stop on our trip”
My daughter and I stayed here as we were visiting the University of Rochester. It was a very nice, well-kept hotel in a great location downtown. The people at the hotel were friendly and helpful and our room was very comfortable. We had a late dinner in the restaurant as we got in around 8:30 PM and it was perfect, complete with a spanish guitarist playing as we ate. Very low key setting all around and we enjoyed our stay. We wished we were staying again that night but we had to get home. We would definitely stay again.
“Great stay at the Rochester Plaza”
The two of us went for an overnight to enjoy the city and have a nice romantic night at the hotel. We were very pleased with the staff and the cleanliness of the hotel. We enjoyed a few cocktails in their lounge and listened to a man playing what appeared to be "blues" on his single (Radio Shack) amp. We had a great time. I picked this hotel because of it's proximty to downtown. We walked to dinner at the Dinosaur BBQ for a great meal.
“Great location for the blue cross arena”
I stayed one night for a concert event at the arena. Easy walking distance to the arena in a safe environment. The bathroom was small but clean and the room was nice overall.

“Just what we were looking for....”
We were looking for a nice hotel to stay in in Rochester for the night that was walking distance to Dinosaur Bbq, our favorite restaurant in Rochester! The hotel staff was pleasant and helpful, our room was clean and the air conditioner worked well. No complaints!
“Very Good Service”
I asked for a fridge when I arrived and they had it to the room by the time I got there. Later I thought to ask about a Microwave and it showed up within minutes of my calling the desk. I had a room on the river side of the hotel with a beautiful view but a problem with a weak Wi-Fi signal and they offered to change my room to one that might be better and allowed me to check it first to make sure it solved my problem. It did and I was very happy with the service. Parking was a few dollars a night but attached to the hotel, secure and clean.
“Can't Wait to go Back!!!”
Our stay at this hotel was fabulous. We reserved a double queen room and on arrival, they upgraded us to a suite.. We were very pleasantly surprised. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. With the exception of one attendan (Bell Hop), the staff was great and very friendly. We attended a convention at the Blue Cross Arena which was within walking distance. This hotel is at a very good location and we are looking forward to staying here again next year. Highly Recommended for bussiness OR pleasure. The swimming pool was wonderful with constant supervison, which was greatly appreciated. The room service and the food was excellent. Thank You very much for a wonderful stay.
“Very Pleased”
After reading mixed reviews of this hotel we were a bit concerned. When we arrived we were served promptly. We were given the option of changing from queen sized to king sized bed, which we thrilled about. The room was clean, comfortable, and pleasant. We definitely got a great deal.
“Great stay”
In for personal business trip, one evening for that past several months and each stay has been exceptional.
