“Upgrade to a suite!”
We were in the Windsor suite and it was beautiful. It really is like an apartment. The room was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. The only issue we had with the room was that the television in the bedroom didn't work but the one in the living room was fine. The front desk said that the hotel was switching over to HD and they only had time to fix one television for each suite. We ate in the steakhouse on the premises and it was quite good. The food was delicious and there was an understated sophistication to the decor. The only unfortunate part was that they did not have enough staff to adequately serve the clientele. It was a busy holiday weekend and a few more employees would have made the dining experience much more memorable. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast buffet the next morning. Everything was fresh and was constantly replenished. Overall it was a very pleasant stay.
“Good visit in Pittsford”
Comfortable quiet accomodations, minor problem with first room (AC inoperative). Very helpful staff, good value.
“Very rekaxing stay in a grand room”
I stayed at Brookwood while visiting my son at RIT. In prior visits, I had stayed at the chain hotels, near RIT and the Rochester airport. They were cheap and bearable. Some were clean but cookie-cutter. My wife recommended the Brookwood. It is a 20 minute drive from RIT and Rochester, though given the nice surroundings, this may be a blessing. I did not benefit from the walking and trekking paths, the lovely canal, etc. I was not there for a vacation. Having said that, the Brookwood surpassed my expectations. The staff were friendly, and I was greeted genuinely ia warm manner at the reception. My room with two queen beds was clean and the size of my NYC apartment. The bathroom was large and clean, but could use a facelift. The flatscreen Tv had all cable channels. Wireless internet was free and high speed. The independently run steakhouse had good food and good drinks. Pity, it closed early. The restaurant staff were, again, very pleasant. I don't think I will stay at any other Rochester hotel for the next four years.
“Very nice people run this hotel”
My husband and I just stayed one night in order to visit family nearby. We got an outstanding deal through Expedia. (Bing rated it a "deal".). After we had booked the room,the price went up significantly. Other family wanted to join our group and we needed another room. The Brookwood Inn staff were kind enough to give us the same "deal " rate for others in our party. When our son and daughter-in-law needed to stay in their room past check out to feed their new baby, the front desk clerk said "no problem". When we wanted to stay in the breakfast room past the "clean up" time, the hostess said " no problem". The place is attractive, the breakfast was great, the rooms were large and clean. We will stay there everytime we go to that area.

“Fine Hotel - not JW Marriott but very good for the money”
Hotel is a good solid place to stay, clean and comfy but more like a business hotel. Breakfast is good, but not exceptional. I'd place this like a Courtyard but free breakfast (no eggs and bacon). However, via Expedia I got a good rate of 90 and say this is a very good value in this area for that price.
“Nice,Ccomfortable Hotel”
This was my first time in the Rochester/Pittsford area. The area reminded me of New England. The hotel was very nice. Clean rooms, comfortable beds. Nice continental breakfast. Staff at hotel was courteous and responded to my requests in a timely manner. Shuttle service from airport to hotel and from Brookwood to Woofcliff excellent. Shuttle drivers knowledgeable and courteous. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.
“Convenient and very Nice”
The Brookwood Inn is almost an ideal place to stay. It is well located near the expressway, in a very nice area and only a short drive (2 miles) from Rochester's premiere shopper maul. It has a good workout area and pool and a first class restaurant for dinner. The staff is very accommodating and helpful.
“Another visit to Fairport, NY”
When I am in the Fairport area, I usually stay at the Brookwood Inn or the sister property, the Woodcliff Lodge. These facilities are the best in the area based on service, amenities, location and price. I have stayed at a number of the other hotels in the area - it wasn't worth the extra money at the more expensive place, and it wasn't worth saving just a couple of dollars a night to stay at a far inferior place. I am almost hesitant to recommend these places to other people as I noticed it is getting harder and harder to get reservations during Holidays and special events.
“Nice stay!”
We were there for a night passing through but it was a great stay. It was a great layout. Breakfast was good. The lobby TV was very convenient,
