“Super Friendly Staff”

The staff was tremendously helpful and friendly. Baked us cookies. The pool and hot tub were lovely and relaxing. Very quiet hotel - which we liked. Very convenenient location for a visit to Hollins University. Not an especially pretty area - but was an easy 2 minute drive to the campus, which was the point of our trip. Nice breakfast buffet that was included - wide choices considering very few guests at the hotel a the time.

“Little extras set this hotel above the rest”

I stayed here while I took the bar exam, and I was really pleased. It was only a 5 or 10 minute drive to the Roanoke Civic Center, so that was convenient for the bar exam. This hotel was run-of-the-mill, but it had lots of little extras that made it stand out from other hotels of similar quality, and was the best price at the time. Free cookies and coffee were definitely a plus after a long drive to Roanoke, and long days during the exam. The hot breakfast (eggs, make-your-own waffles, sausage and biscuits or bacon) was good and made sure I made it through the morning test sessions. Free morning paper (USA Today) was also a nice perk. I was tempted by the hot tub, but didn't ever make it there. I will definitely stay at other Country Inn and Suites elsewhere, or here if I'm ever back in Roanoke again.

“Roanoke rest”

Good location and nice hotel. The pool is wonderful and enjoyed by our daughter every visit!! It is nicely decorated. The breakfast is great in the morning. Staff is friendly. Cookies in the lobby too.

“Best Breakfast”

This is very much like other Country Inn & Suites so no surprises and a nice quality place to stay. The breakfast was outstanding though with real oatmeal (not instant) with brown sugar, cinnamon and raisins to top. Fresh fruit salad and yogurt. Also eggs, sausage, and potatoes. It's right off I-81 and the only restuarant nearby was Mexican. Our room had a bit of a musty odor when we checked in (like cleaning fluid) but we aired the room out and then it was okay.

“We'll stay here whenever we're in Roanoke”

Fresh cookies, inviting pool, comfortable room, hospitable receptionist. We enjoyed our stay very much. The suite set-up (door separating rooms) was perfect. We loved that we could open the window, too.

“Will stay AGAIN and AGAIN....”

My mother and I travel quite frequently to the Blacksburg area - and have so for the last 5 years to visit my daughter and grandson. We were unable to stay in our "usual" location, right in Blacksburg, and had to say 25 miles North because of some college thing going on. We were DELIGHTFULLY surprised with our accommodations at this hotel! Arriving late, there were 3 or 4 pots of fresh coffee and freshly baked cookies at the desk for all guests to enjoy. The staff was very nice and professional. Luggage carts were available and the room was spectacular! We will stay here EVERY time now, even though it is 25 mins out of our way!! So glad we found this hotel.

“Had a stress free stay at this hotel.”

When I arrived at my hotel, the staff were very friendly and efficient. There was fresh coffee in the lobby as well as cookies. The coffee was was a welcome sight after a long drive. Upon finding out that I had a bad knee, the staff was quick to get me a room on the first floor. After getting to my room they called to make sure the room was ok and I didn't need anything. The free breakfast buffet was also delicious. I would be happy to stay here again.

“Nice Hotel”
