“Very pleasant vacation at Viva Wyndham Azteca”
Spent 6 days from 7/5-7/11/09. Overall had a wonderful vacation and really enjoyed this hotel. Chose it mostly because it was very reasonably priced. Found it mostly family friendly, not much 'night life' for young people. Food in buffet very good, however wish there were more options for the formal restaurants. Had one very good meal in Italian restaurant, but were unable to get reservations at the others. Staff very friendly and hard working. Only suggestion-wish there were more bartenders at the pool bar-seemed we had to wait in lines at busy times. Loved the location-beach just beautiful and a short walk to Playa Del Carmen.
“Great hotel.”
Would definitely recommend this hotel. It is well looked after by the large number of very friendly staff who provide a great service. The hotel has the best sandy beach in the area but you may have to get their early to secure a sun lounger.
“Will definitely go back”
We had never tried an all-inclusive vacation before and we were pleasantly surprised. This resort exceeded all of our expectations. We heard that beds were hard in Mexico, but found our bed to be extremely comfortable, even though it was a little firm. The staff was very friendly, although not many spoke much English. There was enough variety of food for our needs. The Mexican restaurant was a little disappointing because there was no "traditional" entree to order, such as a "burrito" or "taco", but it was fun to try. The beach area was awesome, especially when compared to a couple of other resorts in this area which had much less beach area. We even visited the "sister" resort, Viva Maya, just a few resorts down the beach, and enjoyed the "swimup" bar there. Our vacation was fantastic and we can't wait to go back. Next time we will bring the kids and we know there will be plenty for them to do here as well.
“We'd go back in a minute!”
We, including our 4 teenage children, tried our first all-inclusive vacation and we all agreed we'd go back in a heart beat. Our beach was much larger than some of the hotels adjacent to this one, the "geotubes" in the water provided a lot of unexpected fun, the catamarans, kayaks, bikes, & snorkel equip. were free for use, the entertainment staff were young, friendly and engaging, the variety of the food at the buffet & at the 3 individual restaurants was great, and the fact that we could bike to Playa del Carmen's "5th ave", or walk 5 minutes to Playacar's small shopping area. Everything was very clean and we felt very safe. We'd go back in a minute!!!
“wonderful vacation”
The staff is extremely accomodating and friendly. Everyone we passed had a smile and said "Hola" to us. The variety and presentation of the buffets were wonderful, the beach (one of the few on the strip that has been reclaimed after Wilma) was wonderful! 24 hour snack bar is great if you can't wait for the buffet.
“We loved it. I have given several people the name so they can check it out.”
My niece got married there. They were very helpful in getting everything arranged. It was beautiful. We loved the 24 hour food and bar along with the water activities. We also took advantage of the bikes---free. Fifth Avenue is a great place to shop but a long walk. The bikes made it much easier and faster.
“can't wait to go back”
was really happy with hotel everyone was very nice, the only thing I did not get prepare was the trip from cancun to the hotel was not happy at all they charge alot, they did not give you many choices for taxis, but overall everything was beutifull and I do recomend the hotel very much.
