There is absolutely no reason to go anywhere else in Mexico! The Valentin is, and continues to be, amazing. (This was our 7th time there)

It was the first time staying at a smaller hotel, it felt nothing but 10/10 amazing experience. It was luxury surrounded by wonderful staff especially our amazing conceirge Ilana. I would recommend it again, there is lots of food to select from (some items need finessing though), hotel services were great quality with lots of different options for entertainment or just quiet time.

This was our first time here and it was wonderful! The resort is absolutely beautiful & you have the opportunity to just do nothing and relax or enjoy the many things available for activities in and outside of the resort. There is 1 large main pool with another small one plus a lazy river pool to enjoy. Each building has its own concierge to help you with making a reservation to a restaurant or anything you could possibly need. Staff is always friendly & helpful! The rooms are gorgeous (all high tech) & have daily housekeeping services. The food is excellent and you have choices of buffet, food trucks and high end ethnic restaurants. I HIGHLY suggest making reservations for the restaurants as there can be long wait times. What’s nice is the choice of eating outside, inside or inside with a/c. There IS a strict dress code for the nice restaurants so be aware they enforce it. (Jeans & dressy pants for men & sundresses for women). We met guests who were there for their 16th time to folks like us who it was the first. We definitely will be back again!

There are a lot of wonderful things about Valentin Imperial, but there are things that should be better.
pros:
Valentin's campus is beautiful; palm trees, brilliant foliage, and gurgling pools everywhere.
The food in the restaurants is really good.
My room was large and comfortable, with a great bathroom.
All the staff were friendly and helpful.
cons:
The restaurants did not have printed menus. This is big enough that I will not return.
The main pool was a disaster. The activities leader was constantly shouting into a microphone, and when he wasn't shouting there was really bad music played much too loud.
I had 2 beers at the poolside bar, and both glasses had a chip on the rim. At a luxury(expensive) resort, this is not acceptable.
