“Good Mexican experience”

It is Mexico and that is what you get. Room was clean - food was good. Not a place where you want to spend the whole day but perfect for hanging your hat. yes there is construction noise as other reviews reported but progression is a good thing and besides that you the morning is the greatest part of the day and you should be awake and enjoying it.

“Tear it down and start from scratch.”

This hotel is in need of a complete renovation or they should just tear it down and start over again! Nothing has been for decades, the wood is rotting on all the outdoor decks, the airconditioning is so loud you had to turn it off to sleep, the mattresses are so hard, their one step away from a plank of wood and there were dirty dishes left outside our room for our entire 48 hour stay... My wife and I are not really picky people and understand that you get what you pay for, this hotel would have been terrible value at half the cost. The one thing it has going for it is an excellent location - on it's own little Island. walking distance to the action, yet far enough away that you don't hear it at night... We originally booked a standard room - but upon check in realized we couldn't stay there... The windows didn't open and it was tiny and dirty. We ended up buying an upgrade for an additional $50.00 per night at the front desk, a 'villa'room which was right on the water, larger, but just as dirty as the standard room.
