Right off the main avenue yet so not a big hotel feel. Great hospitality and location. Rooms are small but comfortable.

“Good Value”
Ive stayed in the Playa area at least twice a year for 10 years and for the past few years have found great values on Expedia and Hotwire. The Bric was great value in a limited service hotel. Nice room, great hot showers, above average breakfast, friendly service, rooms have balconies overlooking a courtyard with a small pool. All the restaurants, bars and shops are 30 seconds away on 5th Avenue. The best part of the Playa beach at the end of calle 28 is less than 5 minutes walk. There are many similar small hotels build around interior courtyards. The Bric has a little more upscale boutique feel with ipod holding alarm clocks and chocolate!!! scented soap.
“A great room after a rocky start”
Everywhere you go in the Caribbean, make sure you have arranged to arrive in mid afternoon. As I encountered twice, the reception may well close at 5pm and you may be without a room for the night, prepaid or otherwise, if you don't arrange a late check-in in advance. This was what happened in to me in Playa at Bric, but I gave the hotel high marks in all other areas. The room was impeccably clean. There was a safe for valuables, and a security guard. The glass patio door to the main courtyard had a screen also, a feature that had been absent other places that were more expensive. The little private balconies outside your door overlooking the pool were great. The water was hot, and breakfast was included, though I had to leave too early to catch it. Also the hotel is just up the street from 5th avenue, so you are right next to the action, but the hotel is not noisy at all. There was no problem the next morning to sort out the room, and I left very happy with the place.
“Excelent location”
The rooms were small but clean. Staff wasn't very helpful. The location is Excelent, near the beach and the restaurants but out of the noise.
“Boutique style, quiet and comfortable”
We were looking for a smaller, boutique style hotel which is what we found with Bric. Comfortable bed and bathroom, although room a little on the small side, so I wouldn't stay here if you were planning to spend a bit of time in your room. Great location - in between 5th and 10th avenue very easy walk to all of the action, very quiet location (other hotels would have been very uncomfortable due to their proximity to loud bars).
