“Extreme Paradise”

“Unreal beach, beutiful hotel”
My wife and I stayed haere for 12 nights at the end of september. We were worried when we pulled off the main road to the resort, the dirt 2 km long road and lack of a grand entrance like all the other resorts in the area. But to our delight from the minuet you check in to the moments before you leave you are treated like royalty. We have been to a feww resorts in the area and the service here was the best,you never had to leave your lounger for food or drinks. ( Beach and pool )The food was like an episode of Iron Chef every night. Every meal we had was terrific ( duck , lamb and some of the best fillets Ive had ) The pools are large and the loungers are great, lots of umbrellas and unlimited clean towels throughout the day.The beach is one of the best we have been to , small waves, powder soft sand. I recomend this hotel over any in the area. Another great thing is no reservation for dinner, so you go when you want..
“Great Hotel in Paradise”
On this return visit, we loved the Maroma again. Everything was fabulous, and our personal concierge services was the icing on the cake. The food was superb, minus the Carribbean Buffet, which was average. But the chefs brining culinary creations around on platters throughout the lunch hour at the pool made us forget about the buffet! The food and service otherwise was excellent.
“Fantastic Getaway”
Beautiful resort. Everything was top notch. We booked a room in the Preferred Club. Golf cart ride to a private check-in and champagne! Ocean and pool view room, with an outdoor soaking tub. Perfect for sitting in the shade of the balcony after spending a long day on the beach. The room was beautiful and kept very clean by staff. The common areas, restaurants and grounds were beautiful. The pools looked spectacular although we preferred the perfect white sand beaches. Barefoot Grill or the food on the beach is ideal for lunch. Chips and guac or fish, chicken, ribs, burgers or dogs, or paella. All good! We enjoyed Seaside Grill and Bordeaux the best. We weren't overly impressed with Portofino. We also loved the World Cafe champagne breakfast buffet every day. It seemed to be the one place everyone goes to every day. The resort does a lot of special event evenings in which there are buffets outdoors. The BBQ buffet was good, but overall I would recommend the restaurants. The staff is very friendly and very accommodating. This resort is definitely quieter in the evenings, which was perfect for my husband and I. We preferred to spend time together rather than going to meet other couples, or join in on daily activities. There is definitely room for you to just spend time with your significant other, or to get involved in a lot of activities and meet others. Wonderful, relaxing vacation! Perfect beach, perfect weather. Nicest place that we've ever stayed!
“Already planning next year's trip!”
My husband and I went to Secrets Maroma for a second honeymoon (after a horrible experience with the first) and we couldn't have been happier. From the moment we stepped off the airport shuttle, we were pampered. The service was excellent, the food outstanding, the facilities gorgeous, and the beach - breathtaking! Worth every single penny paid. Can't wait to go back next year!
“Awesome Resort!!”
My Husband and I just gat back from our honeymoon at the Secrets Maroma and we absolutely loved it!! I was the perfect place to stay for our honeymoon. It has a very relaxed atmosphere, and they defiantly pamper you. It has something for everyone, you can do nothing all day and relax on the beach (which is gorgeous) or you can participate in the tons of activities and shows that they have daily. Also, go to the spa! It is the most beautiful and relaxing spa I have ever been to, we got 80 min aromatherapy couples massages and they were wonderful! We thought the food was awesome, we had to wait at a few restaurants for about 30 min some night but we would just go to the lobby bar and get drinks. We actually enjoyed that because they have live music there a lot of nights. Portofino was probably our favorite restaurant, we went there twice, but I would defiantly recommend going to Himitsu and sitting at the tempenyaki table, it was a great show and great food!! Oh, I almost forgot, I am super picky about my bed and I usually hate beds at hotels but the beds here are actually really comfortable. The service at the resort is amazing; everyone is so friendly ad helpful!! We would highly recommend the resort.:-)
“Perfect Getaway!”
This has been my third trip to a Secrets resort, but 1st at Secrets Maroma! I will certainly return! The location was perfect! Excellent beach--soft, fine sand, clear water, and a school of fish to greet me as I entered the ocean! Excellent service, good quality food offerings, great bar selection--as I had many a tequila tasting! The Secrets Maroma facility was well maintained and the gardens mature. Great wildlife viewing on site too! Maroma's staff was quite friendly and professional. This was the perfect place to unwind and enjoy life!
“Will go back if they fix Air Conditioning”
The resort was amazing. Very beautiful and the staff was wonderful. We had a swim out room and I would highly recommend it, it is worth the extra money. The only complaints we had was the air conditioning in the lobby was not cool at all. We used the computer in the business center and it did not feel like it had any air conditioning vents in it. Also, we were supposed to have a hundred dollar expedia resort credit in addition to the two hundred credit the resort gave us. They did not give us the expedia credit, they said it was part of the two hundred resort credit. Other than those issues we loved it. If they fix the air conditioning we will definitely be back!
“Simply amazing!!! Wish had stayed longer! (4 days trip)”
AMAZING!!!! This was my first trip to Mexico and couldn't pick a better location and hotel! Everything was perfect: the hotel (beautiful, clean and with very friendly staff), the food (amazing buffet breakfast and dining options at night --- dine at El Patio for very good mexican food) and the amazing beach (crystalline water, white soft sand, walk around on the beach and explore the beauty of the place). If you go to Riviera Maya, you can't miss the Secrets Maroma Beach.
“Nice beach resort for couples”
Me and my wife stayed there from sept 1 - sept 6. The hotel recently opened in August so they have to improve some details. For instance when we arrive the room was not ready and the room service was slow. Anyway the food and the beverages are very good and all the staff is doing their best effort. The pool and the rooms are very nice. The beach is very nice but there is some seaweed in the shore that is cleaned every day in the morning.
