“WONDERFUL, PERFECT VACATION”
April 6-11, 2012 It was the most enjoyable, relaxing vacation we (5 adults-ages 21,23, 25,48,53) have ever been on. Our daughter and her boyfriend were at this resort last year and asked us to go with them this year. We have been traveling for over 26 years (on average 1-2 vacations per year) and by far this was in the top 3!! I can not say enough about the staff, especially JESICA at the receptionist desk who checked us in. She is a gem and they need more employees like her!! We were in the Select Club (adults only) and that was FABULOUS. If you have an opportunity to upgrade, it is WELL worth the cost. From that point on it just got better. Remember you are on vacation, so slow down a bit and enjoy the resort which has so very much to offer everyone. Our young adults went parasailing and jet skiing, otherwise we relaxed by the beach and just enjoyed all that the resort had to offer. The evening shows were very enjoyable. They had a few vendors from outside the resort that set up every night and that was very nice if you didn't want to go to Playa del Carmen. Now if you choose to go to Playa del Carmen, I would recommend going later in the day as the morning time is VERY hot and not all the stores are open. If you go the the Japanese Restaurant ask to have Gabriel as your waiter and have him practice his Scandinavian word we tryed to teach him..."TAPIOCA". He was a wonderful sport. We WILL be back to this resort again.
“Great vacation”
Beautiful facility with lots of activities and amenities. The food was wonderful with lots of vatiety. Friendly and helpful staff. Lots of activities for kids. The rooms were emaculate. A great value for the price.
“Wonderful Resort......Cant wait to go back”
My husband and I just got back from Mexico last week, and yes we read all the hoopla on the reviews. Some were bad but most were ok. We are average working people who honestly get more enjoyment out of the vacation itself and being together than picking the resort apart. The people at this resort are great, ask for anything and for the most part....youll get somethng. They upgraded us to a jacuzzi room for our honeymoon, which they didnt have to do, we never had a single watered down drink, and the food was great. Granted for a 7 night stay we only got 3 dinners in the restaurant, but the buffets were not bad at all and it left time open, we ate when we wanted to eat. Five days into it the buffet got a little lack luster....but what are you gonna do. You make the most out of it. And instead of spending $100 aperson for an excursion we went to to scuba shop on the resorts beach and went on one for much cheaper and it was awesome swimming in the caves and ATVing. Now be aware when booking theis resort that it is not near anything, to go into Playa Del Carmen it costs $12US dollars each way, there is no shuttle. The beach is not good for snorkeling so you wil want an excursion of some sort to do this and you cant use their equipment off the resort. But you could literally stay here all day.....they have a show every single night, then a disco afterwards till 2 am. You dont have to leave to find a party or go to a club. We will be going back to this resort very soon!!
“The best vacations I had it”
I travel to different places with my family, but I read must of the comments before to travel to Sandos and let me doubt but since we got to this place everyone in Sandos treat us like we were at home. delicious food, amazing people, cleanes room and great shows. My family and I are thinking to go back to this place again and I will recomend to all my friends, family and whoever want to go there. You will feel like you were home. Good look and also don't forget to visit XCARET.
“sandos caracol eco resort & spa”
Dans l'ensemble nous avons passés un très bon séjours. L'hotel est un petit peu en travaux ,mais sans inconveniants!
“Had a great time! We will go back!”
We had a very enjoyable stay at Sandos Caracol Eco Resort & Spa. There were two things disappointing on our trip. Our son was attacked by another child in the kids club. We understand that the staff can’t see everything that goes on, but we were very upset. However, they need to be watching more closely. It was fine by us that he did want to go back because we preferred to spend time with him. He wanted to try it out so we let him, next time probably not. The other disappointing thing was red flag day on the beach most of the days we were there. We did not get to partake in any of the ocean activities. It was not their fault that the winds were blowing and the water was choppy. The resort grounds were beautiful. You had to walk a bit to get around, but it help to offset all the delicious food we ate. It was fun to see the raccoons and coati roaming the resort. It was fun to feed them even though you really were not suppose to. We had a great experience with the Best Day representative Alonso that helped us to decide which trips we wanted to take. He even helped us to try and locate some things we lost when we went on our Isla Mujeres Catamaran trip. They did not find it on the boat. He actually bought our son the toy that he had lost. That was certainly above and beyond! The staff was friendly and very helpful. There was ping pong, air hockey, pool, foosball, movies everynight and great shows each night. I would certainly will and already have recommended this resort!
“Great family resort”
Great family resort. Staff were very friendly. Food was great, and there were lots of things to do.
“Marat's good family vacation”
An excellent family vacation with kids. Many restaurants (make reservations as soon as possible). Romantic reservation such as a boat ride should be done as soon as possible as well. Nice shows, food and drinks. My wife likes passion fruit martini but I enjoyed tequilas
“Family Oriented Environment”
Sandos "Caracol" was very laid back, family oriented environment. I loved the fact that it felt as if though you were in your own little world with everything within walking distance. Food was excellent and as we all know "buffets" sometimes are not the greatest, but here ALL "Buffet" meals were superb! Ate like never before, food well prepared, tasty and healthy. It was a safe environment, nothing to worry about. Very safe place to be with your teens and not worry about them. If you are looking for Luxury, then it's not for you, this is a laid back resort. You are not there to impress strangers, you are there to relax and enjoy!
