“La Perla extrodinaire”
Incredible resort. Only 45 days new. Super staff, views, location and food. One of the top resorts in the area.

Stunning hotel. Brand new. True paradise. It doesn't get better than this.
“Relaxing getaway!”
This was a great new property! The rooms were great, just as advertised and the food was really nice at the restaurants as well. The staff was freindly and helpful (we were even able to talk Armando into doing some "Aqua Salsa"). Overall I would say 2 complaints, but nothing major. First, the resort was only at about 35% capacity while we were there and we still paid a very hefty upgrade price. Second, it was advertised as being close to 5th Avenue when in reality it's about a 10 minute cab ride. Nothing major, overall it was a great resort, great experience, and very relaxing!

“Great resort”
Beautiful resort but unfortunately Expedia doesn't have accurate description of the rooms as far as the room views are concerned. Was very disappointed on the arrival to discover that there are no ocean front restaurants. The whole resort is behind a mini jungle so you cannot see water from anywhere in the resort.

brand new very nice hotel. beach is not very nice but the pools are outstanding. get the royal service area. its a nice upgrade.
“Anderson Honeymoon”
Just returned Feb 24th from a 5 day stay at Paradisus La Perla. Hotel has only been open about 4 months and it was incredible. The food was great and plentiful, pool was gorgeous, staff was very attentive and.....we actually had a view of the ocean from our 3rd floor room like we were promised on our reservation. However, we were a little disappointed with the beach at this resort. Very narrow, maybe 20 feet, and rocky in most places. Also, right next to a public beach. We had to share our leisurely romantic stroll on the beach with local families playing with and BATHING their young children in the surf. We aren't against watching the locals playing with their children but we thought this stretch of beach would be a "private" beach for resort guests only!
“unbelievable hotel...”
their beachfront was the only problem I had there. very sea-weedy. Unfortunately. But you can walk only a bit north or south and it's wonderful beachfront.
“Great stay Feb28-March4th”
Great hotel and excellent food quality and liquor for an all-inclusive. The only draw back is the beach waters are filled with rocks and dead coral which they were actively trying to clean up with divers in the water. Stayed in Royal Service and that pool is heated...not sure about the other pools. I'm sure months from now this will be much better. Also....there is almost NO nightlife at the hotel. They have a trendy bar/lounge but nobody was in there. This is not the place to go to and party. Most people are in there 30s, 40s and 50s and almost all couples. Great gym, great spa, and again the food was excellent. I've stayed at many Ritz Carltons, St. Regis and Four Seasons. Although it may not quite be at this level, it is close....a strong 4.5 star hotel.
“Too good to miss”
The room was modern in design and was larger than I expected it to be. The pools were fantastic and I loved the individual cabana huts that you could lay in to get out of the sun. The swim up bartenders made great drinks and they had a drink of the day for you to try if you were just too relaxed to make the decision. The restaurants were very nice and the waitstaff was always attentive. They always greeted you with smiles and helped you order your food in Spanish, if you were inclined, but they all spoke English very well. The sand on the beach was soft and there were plenty of lounge chairs to sit on and listen to the waves. Unfortunately, their ocean bottom is incredibly shallow and you would have to walk out a long distance from the shore to be able to swim. The ocean floor almost has a clay mud feel to it and their working crews were still pulling out tree stumps, logs, and rocks from the water to improve it. I would bet that this improvement will be complete by the end of the summer and then this hotel would be PERFECT!
