“What a Great Vacation!!”
This is a small resort, only 30 rooms, but if you want a relaxing, wonderful time it is a great place. A very nice, uncrowded beach and very friendly & courteous staff. There is not very much nightlife, but a short trip into Playa del Carmen gets you all that you need. My wife and I went with our two twentysomething daughters and their husband/almost husband. Everyone had a wonderful time and did not want to leave. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation.
“Delighted!”
I would highly recommend this hotel. Hard to believe there are only 30 rooms for such a nice place. The pool deck is uncrowded, so there is no hurry to get pool chairs every day. The swim up hot-tub-bar is absolute paradise! So close to the ocean that the waves actually crash against it! We ate lunch here every day, and it was very affordable. A huge plate of beef (steak) nachos was only about $7.00 US, and fed 3 people easily. My only complaint was that the beds were very firm, and only full size, not queen, so constantly bumping into spouse at night.
“Will definitely be back”
This was our second stay at the Omni Puerto Aventuras. Both visits have been very enjoyable. We will definitely be back. If you're looking for nightlife, this is definitely not the place as the hotel and town are very quiet and everything closes early.
“Clean and beautiful”
The location was beautiful. The resort pool and beach were gorgeous. The room was clean and well serviced. One minor complaint, the resort's wireless internet was broken throughout our stay. All in all, we would definitely go back again!
“Great Beach Hotel”
The hotel is beautiful and right on the beach. The service was friendly and helpful but not instrusive. We used Best Day transfers which was a mistake as we were at the end of the line in terms of the resorts nearer Cancun. Book private car or taxi and save up to an hour each way. At the hotel Sol was particularly helpful. The reef and snorkelling in front of hotel is lovely. The food - only breakfast- was good. The restaurants nearby are varied and OK. There is an aqua zoo in the marina (Manatees, sharks, rays, dolphins) that the kids loved. Great place. If you want a safe relaxing family vacation this is it. Not alot of tipico atmosphere here- its very American but you can get out of the gated resort pretty easily to Tulum and Coba and get a taste of Mayan culture. Very safe and secure family resort.
“Had a great time.”
It's not a five star but it was very clean, roomy and had a lot of amenities that made the visit very enjoyable. The beautiful beach was just a few steps away and the water was calm since the hotel is located on a cove which was great for the children to play without worry. We enjoyed the large balcony with the jacuzzi and hammock but wish we had paid extra for the ocean view room which we sneaked a peek of-beautiful!. The location was convienent to visit Tulum, Playa Del Carmen and Cozumel all of which we enjoyed. We also enjoyed "the magic box" breakfast which allowed for a leisurely morning in the room. The kids were thrilled with the dolphins and fishing can be arranged next door in the marina. There are several resturants a few steps away, some of which are really good. Best of all, the area is quiet and relaxed and not crowded.
“Our Stay was great!”
Everything was wonderful, from our welcome beverages and sign in, to our send off when we were ready, (well, not really ready, but needed to go) to leave. The rooms were clean and neat, the food was wonderful, and the pool was great. The staff was wonderful with whatever we needed and always very helpful and friendly. We are already planning another trip with our entire family in the near future!
“Nice Calm Vacation”
This hotel is inclosed in a private condo area. The hotel is small....30 rooms. Services are great, plenty or food at the hotel and at the marina, right next door. The average age at this hotel was 50+. Most places close by 11 PM. The beach is beautiful and not crowded at all. If you are looking for a place to mellow out without crowds or parties....this is the place.
“Can't wail to go back”
After a week driving around the Yucatan Peninsula, visiting ruins, etc., we found this place to be an oasis of calm. We had a hard time locating it, but once we checked in, it was great. We did not choose the all-inclusive, but the breakfast allowance that came with the room was more than generous. The great staff was quietly attentive. When we went it was not very crowded, but when we were checking out it seemed to be getting a lot busier. The location on a quiet cove provided very good and convient snorkeling. My husband could snorkel his heart out while we waited for our teenagers to wake up. It was so nice not to have to drive to a snorkeling location. The hammock on the balcony was very relaxing. The hotel is in an area built around a Dolphin Discovery lagoon. Several small restraunts and shops around this lagoon make for something to do if you're not up to venturing up to Playa del Carmen. We would wander over and watch the sunrise near the dolphin lagoon. Dinner was also a bit more entertaining watching the dolphins swim around in the dark water. We would definately come here again. Rooms large enough, a/c v. good, water pressure good, restraunt and bar good. Good location, great beach and snorkeling, great breakfast deal, quiet and relaxing area. (Beds are were good-not rock hard like some in Mexico)
“Beautiful Property, Excellent Service: A Definite Place to Re-Visit”
My husband and I stayed at the Omni PA last week for 5 days for.a much needed kids-free vacation. We can't say enough good things about the warm & helpful staff who made sure we were taken care of. We felt truly pampered. I also highly recommend getting anything at the spa located in the same space as the fitness center. Their facialist Jenny was a god-send & helped us out w/ some minor sunburn as well as giving me a facial. The beauty of the resort was enhanced by the awesome ocean setting next to it. The resort's pool area opens up to the white sandy beach so the whole setting was conducive to pure relaxation. There was no need to ever wander too far from the Omni. Our room was clean thanks to housekeeping's 2 visits daily: usual morning clean up & an early evening tidying up & turning down the bed. I signed up for Omni's Select Guest Program & took advantage of their complimentary continental breakfast amongst other things.Their extensive breakfast menu (Mexican, American, & more healthy selections) made it hard to order the standard continental fare but its cost was credited towards our total bill. And the portions were huge we ended up not eating another sit down meal until dinner. B/c of the intimate size of the hotel (30 rooms) the pool & beach never felt crowded. There were mostly families with kids & the noise level was well? Perfect, respectful & never out of control for a lack of a better description. We're already planning on returning next year WITH our son!
