“Love it!”
We love our stay at Ocean Breeze! We spent 10-days the begining of April. Excellent room service, food, and very nice people. We loved location, hotel is situated in the jungle and it was really relaxing. Kids loved golf cart rides to the big pool at the Mayan palace area and enjoyed kid's club. Overall, we would like to go back.
“Really nice relaxing time!”
This is the best food and drink that I have ever had in Mexico! The ocean breeze is part of 3 other Mayan hotels on the property. The hotel is about a 15 min. walk to the beach and large pool area and some of the restaurants - but what a nice walk - the jungle paths are gorgeous. Or you can take the shuttle bus, but we liked to walk - nice and easy flat walk. If you use the pool or restaurant at the ocean breeze you usually have it to yourself! The drinks were all made perfect - many choices for beer. We loved it here. You can also can a free shuttle from the airport to the hotel!

This was a great set up....once you figured what you could do at the Big hotel area...it was a great time...
“Good vacation, wish we were there now!”
The hotel was clean and the people were very accomodating. My only suggestion would be a vent in the bathroom. After a week of mexican food, that would be nice!
“Nice new hotel - very clean, great for families.”
This small, new hotel is VERY CLEAN and located on the Mayan Palace timeshare resort that is mostly geared toward families. The people are friendly. And if you don't mind staying a fair distance from the beach and waiting for the shuttle, this is a great find! Loved the private, quaint atmosphere while also having access to the "grand" amenities. This is not an all-inclusive place and drinks/food is pretty pricey. Taking the shuttle to Playa del Carmen is cheap and easy though - and you can ask for a refridgerator in your room to keep groceries and drinks from the Mega store there. I recommend the Thursday night dinner and show - spectacular. The beach is not great in front of this resort - but the set up is superb. Body surfing waves can be found just a short distance down the beach in either direction. The pools are beautiful! Great place for kids!
“Very glad with our recent stay!”
Very quiet and relaxing time at Ocean Breeze. Staff were all very helpful. Great meals to eat with all-inclusive plan. Shuttles were awesome from getting around resort. Would recommend to anyone looking for relaxation. However, beach is not good for swimming if that is what your looking for. But there is very large area for laying in the sun on beach chairs. Great beach in town Playa for swimming!!
“Average rating”
Although the hotel was very clean and the food was excellent, there was virtually nothing to do on the premises other than eat and go in the small pool. Half of the time, the staff at the desk really did not understand our questions or what we needed at the time, so communication could have been better. This was just an average hotel--nothing above average.
“"Nice quiet place, if you like quiet"”
The Ocean Breeze is a fairly new resort, small, only about 65 rooms.The staff at front desk was very cordial. The rooms were very nice, spacious, and very clean. The beds were fairly comfortable.The Balconies were very small with no view, only the jungle. If you like quiet this is the place. Pool is awsome. The service while in the pool wasn't the greatest. If you wanted a drink or food you would have to go to bar yourself. It is an all inclusive resort & you share some of the ammenities with the Mayan Palace. They need to take you on a tour of the Mayan Palace (which is a short shuttle ride away) after you check in because the Mayan is such a huge place & not all of the resturants & bars are included with your all inclusive package. We ended up just asking around to see what was included & what wasn't. The resturant at the Ocean Breeze served very good food but after a week the menu got sort of boring. It would have been great if they would have a had a different special each day to just change up the menu. I was a little dissapointed with the Buffet resturant El Lago at the Mayan. They have a breakfast buffet but that wasn't included in all inclusive, only evening meal. They need to be more specific about the location of the Ocean Breeze. It leads you to believe it is on the Ocean & it is not. That was dissapointing! It is in the middle of the jungle so if you want an ocean view, this is not the place for you.
