“Another Great Time at Oasis”

This is my 4 visit to GORM and it still delivers a great vacation. Check in was flawless and the ocean view room was great. The beach and snorking are the best in Mexico. The food is good but not great. The speciality retaurants are not "special" but are ok. Service was outstanding and the ground are spotless. The tranquil nature of this resort are hard to beat anywhere!

We were given oceanfront room, on account of booking through Expedia; fantastic upgrade! Hotel is nicely renovated after last year's damage, people are very friendly, food is good (though not much Mexican food, more international and Italian)

“Wonderful beach snorkeling”

I would rate the overall hotel at a 6.5 out of 10. The rooms were clean, the staff very nice and accommodating, and the food was good. Not wonderful, but good. The best part of our stay was the beach snorkeling. The beach was practically right outside our door and within about 100 yards from shore we saw literally 1000s of fish; including stingrays and starfish. We have traveled many places to snorkel and this was by far the best right off the beach snorkeling we have found. No need to pay for an excursion here.

“Perfect Vacation Spot”

We had a wonderful time. Our room was located on the second floor of the "older" section. We had a balcony over looking the beach, the pool and the pool bar area. There are no coffee makers in the room, so you have to walk down to the pool area in the morning to get it. That was fine, because we would take a walk on the beach and watch the sun come up. Every day was sunny and 87 degrees(PERFECT). I can't say enough about the staff, they were exceptional. I did know a little spanish, and it was fun throwing words out to see if I was speeking properly. By the way-they all speak english, as well as italian, german, french, and probably some others! We were very impressed at the level of courtesy the staff handled everything. Also,it is a great beach for adults, it realy is not a great beach fo kids, not much for them to do.

“Would recommend this to other friends”

My daughter picked this hotel for her wedding. The staff were great the food was excellent and would recommend this as one of the most perfect wedding places or relaxing vacation to all. People were friendly the staff was excellent and very friendly and helpful. Will be one of my fondest memories. Go and enjoy.

“Good hotel to go to with friends”

It was a great time. Definitely not a singles resort but still fun. If you are going there with a large group of friends or a wedding party.... its a phenominal time. If you tip well, you will be treated like a king!

All staff at the resort are welcoming and attentive to their guests. The entertainment crew was excellent by providing a variety of daily activities. The bar tenders will never be forgoten. We definitely recommend that if your planning a trip to Mexico, stay at the Oasis Akumal.
