dont waist your time and moneyPosted 29-Nov-2013
Pros: pool and service in the hotel was good
Cons: the road to the hotel and about the beach you probably can't do nothing there is a reef near by so thats why the water not clear very unpleasant
Location: Puerto Murelos not god location to go there
The beach is not clean its really dirty don't go there if you like to swim and just spend time by the beach. The pool is really great but not the beach unfortunately. The food was ok nothing special to me. The road was absolutely terrible to the hotel. It's my firs time in Mexico and I was trying to enjoy but I wouldn't say that I had a great vacation. It's probably not Mexico but it's all about the resort.

Nice HolidayPosted 23-Nov-2013
Pros: It being out in the Jungle the music and dancing. Bar service excellent.
Cons: The beach cleanliness. Laundry should be added. It is hard with kids to get things dry and clean.
Location: Not much. Town away hour and half walk away.
we went for a wedding and there where 85 of us so we had lots of fun. The road in and out will stop us from going back. we did not want to order taxi because of the road. we went to Cancun one day and left in a van it was horrible going out coming back in a lower taxi was scary we felt bad for the taxi and the driver. The taxi got hung up twice. We recommend that the Resort put in laundry facility It is so humid it was hard to get cloth dry. The special restaurants are great Japanese the best. The Market all food taste the same.

Location: you have a choice of many different activites to choose from
I had a wonderful time. So relaxing. Peaple and staff members where so accomodating. Total experince was so fantastic. The waterfalls along the hotel and incoporated in the decor I found amazing and so tranquil. I always felt at home. The food and entertainment top notch. I would definely go back and would recommend it to anyone. I traveled solo but I never felt alone. So many freindly people. Thank you sapharie.

Nice facilities but far location and just OK foodPosted 17-Nov-2013
Pros: Clean, large rooms
Cons: The food needs improvement!
Location: Playa Del Carmen, Chichen-itza, Tulum
The hotel itself is quite nice although the location is far from all market areas (Cancun and Playa Del Carmen). Rooms and facilities were nice and very clean overall but I would have to say the food was disappointment, especially the buffet. I've been to other all-inclusive resorts and the food here was the worst I've seen. A la carte restaurants had better food, but still below the experience I've had elsewhere. In short, I didn't pick this resort because I was there to attend a wedding, and I won't be returning. The road leading to the resort is horrendous (the final 2km) is washed out or has so many potholes that the cars are going ~1 km/hr. Cost is $20pp to get to Playa Del Carmen, there is literally nothing but mangroves outside the resort property.

Now Sapphire turns out to be Ocean Coral/TurquoisaPosted 10-Nov-2013
Pros: Lots of swimming pools and a nice sandy beach. No mosquitoes.
Location: Lots of tour companies operate from the Ocean Coral. We enjoyed Tulum and Coba ruins.
We thought we were booked with Now Sapphire. That was the name and address we had received. We arrived at the Now Sapphire and there was a problem. We were not on their list. They phoned the nearby Ocean Coral and we were registered with them. It was dark and the pothole-filled roads were under water so we took a taxi, 10 USD! The Ocean Coral was totally satisfactory but the road in was really bad.

First trip to MexicoPosted 10-Nov-2013
Pros: The staff in the Buffett restaurant ,Housekeeping all great. Bartenders average.
Cons: The hotel needs some TLC. Rooms need to be up graded (at least the one we were in)Screens in patio doors. The AC. (do they have it)
Location: We only left the resort once as I said the road to the resort was flooded and riddled with giant wholes (we saw more than one van stuck)
If you can avoid the front desk. our check in was at 3:00 we arrived a little after due to the road (or lack there of) to the resort. We were told that there was a problem with the room keys.( last time this happened I was at a car dealer wanted to leave and my keys disappeared). Of courses out of thin air a rep for AMresorts appears so we sat down with him for a bit 20 mins. or so we explained we only there for 5 days and we wanted to see the Myan temples and such. He would be glad to help us out with that if we were willing to meet with a rep the next day. No thanks. Now about 3:45. back to front desk Still no keys. Off to our Rep at Best Day travel . We book our tour for the next day and a shopping tour for the day before we are scheduled to leave. the Rep asks if he can help us with anything else. Sure can you get me keys to my room? another rep. in the room has to turn away so we won't see him laugh. Back to front desk time at this point, does it really matter. we get keys off with bellman to room. We get to the room keys don't work. that kind of sums up the treatment you can expect. as for Expedias partner Best day travel. my wife and daughter never had the opportunity to go on the complimentary shopping tour (I know I saved money) due to scheduling problems. Will I use Expedia again, only if I can pay after the trip.

Great vacation.Posted 4-Nov-2013
Pros: The people, location, rooms, food and beautiful grounds
This is our 4th 2 week stay at this beautiful resort. Needless to say we absolutely love it. Beautiful grounds and a lovely beach where you can go for really long walks. The rooms are spacious and well furnished. Our seafront room had a king bed and Jacuzzi tub on the balcony. We always book the Preferred Club as it gives you reserved palapas on the beach or Bali beds around the private adult only pool, which has its own bar and concierge. There are a good variety of specialty restaurants and we tended to go to the French and Mediterranean ,which are great and have super staffs. Also did the Asian and sat around the hibatchi, which is fun. Always had breakfast and lunch at the buffet, which has an excellent selection. We also dined there a few times and the Fire Show which was on the terrace by the pool was amazing. What makes our trips so special is the staff. They are wonderful. From Alejandro and Olivia in management to Geremais in the market cafe and Malete and Carmen in Café Coco. Ivan our beach concierge could not do enough for you and our grand amigo Antonio who seemed to be bartending in different places each day is so special. I say this because an infection in my thumb , which traveled with me, put me in hospital for 2 days and he along with Carmen and Marlete took the trouble to visit me. Everybody was so concerned and helpful to my wife and this is another reason why we will return again next October.

Nice View, Clean Beach & Bland foodPosted 29-Oct-2013
First time staying at Now Sapphire. The resort is miles away from the touristic Cancun and somewhat "isolated" only neighboring a couple other resorts. The beach was very clean and not overcrowded. The pool was spacious. Our room was a beachfront suite on the 3rd (top) floor. The staff was friendly. Although, the administrative staff emphasized purchasing timeshares, though they do not refer to them as that. The only negative about this place was that we had originally booked a One King Bed Suite and we were given a Two Full Bed Suite instead. When we brought it up they said they "would make it a one bed suite". When we got to the room, we noticed they had simply pushed the two full beds together. It wasn't anything we couldn't put up with given the view and jacuzzi balcony. The food at the restaurants was flavorful and the staff was great. On the contrary, the food at the buffet was very bland not very tasty although it looked nice. Note: Noticed a lot of people would not Tip! I know it's an All-Inclusive resort but a $1 or $2 tip for a couple drinks or meal goes a long way. After a couple of days certain bartenders / waiters would recognize us and the service we would receive was even better.
