“Best hotel experience in years”

The hotel experience was great. Actually it was so grat we decided to change our travel plans this december so we could return at the end of our trip and spend our last night at this jewel of a hotel and celebrate a friends birthday. The moment we walked in the lobby we felt we were in a european boutique five star hotel. Location was great right on the beach in the heart of playa del carmen. The rooms were unique with top of the line bath products to flat screen televisions were just few of the nice touches. The staff really went out of their way to make our stay memorable. The brekfast we ordered served on the beach was outstanding. We are looking forward to going back next year

“Too expensive for what you get.”

The best part of staying at Mosquito Beach is having access to the beach and beach bar/restaurant. The rooms are small and not very functional. For example, there is no mirror in the room. Also, we never got hot water for the 3 nights we stayed at this hotel. Wireless internet only works at the reception area and beach bar. Lastly, the room's air conditioner unit is loud. Even though the hotel has a great boutique look, the lack of certain practical ameneneties led to a dissatisfied stay.
