“Maya Villa Condo Hotel-WONDERFUL”
The condos look just like the pictures on their website. It located on a quite street, yet one short block away is 5th Ave with all the shops and restaurants. YOU DO NOT NEED A CAR! The staff was wonderful and friendly. One warning, check-in is at the Porta Playa which is located less than a block away.
“Fantastic place”
This was our first visit to Playa, and we loved every second of it. Maya Villa is a small, brand new condo-hotel building with beautifully designed courtyard pool surrounded by lush green plants and great Maya style decorations - unforgettable! The apartments are spacious, everything is brand new, and we felt right at home from the minute we arrived. The maintenance staff was amazing - both the rooms and the whole property are impeccable. Hope to be back!
“ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!!!!”
The Maya Villa Condo Hotel was absolutely perfect for me and my three teenaged sons. The third floor room had one master bedroom with its own full bath. The second bedroom had a door to the second full bath and a door to an outside balcony with table and chairs. There was fully equipt kitchen so we could cook after purchasing food from Walmart only a few blocks away where many residents also shop so seeing the layout of a Mexican food market was, in itself, an experience. The room was ALWAYS cleaned to perfection and the front desk staff was readily available to supply extra towels, answer questions, or suggest places to visit. The pool was beautiful with waterfall and hot tub. The LOCATION was GREAT as it was away from the touristy, crowded hotel strip of Cancun, one block from the beach, and near a quaint town of shops, restaurants, and taverns. Be careful of the store owners as they can be very aggressive. Another PLUS to the hotel is there is a recreation assistant who will help you plan visits to area attractions without a "scheme". Watch those! There are many counters (even at the airport, rental car booths, and Walmart) that try to "sell" a deal on discounted tickets to area attractions. BE CAREFUL...DO NOT GIVE CASH as you may find out that you will be forced to listen to some time share presentation that I heard could last as much as five hours. Say "no" and walk away. Go to the recreation person and book with him/her or order tickets ahead of time, on line.

I love the family of Condo Hotels Playa del Carmen! They are simple, elegant and understated.....the rooms are always perfectly clean and comfortable and the location is excellent for someone who wants to be close to the beach but in a quiet part of town.

Staff was awesome. Great location. Stayed in Room 404 (main floor). It was very quiet. The marble floors in unit were a big hit with me!!
“Great hotel.”
Great hotel. Located 1 block from beach and 1 block from 5th avenue. No view of the water unless you are on top floors but we only came to the room to sleep so it didn't matter. Would stay again. Loved it. Staff wonderfull. The gym is fantastic. Indigo beach club has good breakfast on the beach.
“Very Nice Place for a Family Vacation”
The condo was very nice. The only thing it lacked from our unit was a beach view. Breakfast at the beach club was advertised as a buffet, but included a cooked to order main course. The staff was friendly and helpful. All together a very nice place for families
“#1 in PDC”
Beyond my wildest dreams! I did a lot of research trying to find the perfect hotel in Playa del Carmen. My bf has never been to Mexico and this trip was his Christmas gift--I wanted it to be perfect. We don't like mega resorts, but we also like being local and on foot. Maya Villa was everything we needed, and more. From the time we were picked up at the airport (booked RT SUV through the hotel concierge) to the beach breakfast every morning (Kike rules) to Manuel booking us our fantastic day trips to Chichen Itza and Cozumel, we were blown away. The proximity to Quinta is great, the pool and hot tub are amazing (try the waterfall for a shoulder massage), the rooms were quiet and private (we loved 402 since it was facing the street and the courtyard), and the kitchens come stocked w/brand-new appliances. Our first night we walked to the Mega and picked up fresh produce, tortillas, and coffee/juice. We didn't need anything else. The security guys are nice, and the neighborhood cats are always there to purr at your feet. Pure love for PDC and Maya Villa! (Didn't even get to try the gym, but we'll be back). So sad to leave! Indigo Beach Club membership is key, too. Relax for a day there, safely tucked under an umbrella, and you'll never want for more. Hotel concierge also booked us a reservation at Yaxtche, which was fantastic and so so friendly. The waiters there went above and beyond!
“Splendid Vacation!”
Condo/Hotel had very easy access, always someone tending entries, felt safe, housekeeping levels were up to us each day. Close to beach and town's activities, but very quiet! No ocean views, but well designed for an active family of five who spent time doing rather than sitting in the condo. Very helpful staff.
