“Exactly what I pictured.”
The hotel is in a perfect location. Close to everything yet quiet at night. An easy walk to the beach and fifth avenue. The breakfast was more than I had expected so I was quite pleased, though my boyfriend thought a few things were missing. Our biggest complaint with the room was lighting. Lights are very dim so no reading at night...this was not a major issue. Overall would definitley recommend this hotel if you plan on going to Playa
“Luxury surprice in the middle of Playa”
Comfort rooms, warm and reliable service, lot of amenities, free wifi, good breakfast all that for reasonable price!
“The ONLY hotel you should stay in Playa del Carmen...”
I've been to this hotel last year and was very satisfied. But I tried to be a little adventurous and tried to stay at another "well promoted hotel" nearby. BIG MISTAKE! THIS is the only hotel that's worth the money in Playa del Carmen. I was in AQUA Cancun with my girlfriend and went down to Playa Del Carmen for a few days. Being in Magic Blue felt almost like being in a 4star hotel although it is clearly smaller. The staff is very friendly. The bellboys/securities are very accomodating as well. The rooms are immaculate. The BED, the most important factor for us, is soft and very comfortable. We set our alarms for 7am but we always end up sleeping until 10 because the beds are just that cozy. The grounds are beautifully decorated. The pool is lovely and very comfortable. The bar by the pool is inexpensive. I will not try another hotel in Playa Del Carmen besides Magic Blue. This place is the best. Take my word for it. Don't try to save a mere $20 for similar offers nearby. You will be disappointed. MagicBlue is the ONE!
“second trip in a year”
i really like this hotel ... and will be back again .... the first night we stayed in the top floor (thatched roof) and being spring break it was just to nosey for us ... the parties went on till 6 am which is when i get up ... and the nose from the club down the street was crazy ... we moved to the first floor and slept like babies ....
“fullfilled all promises and our expectations”
small and cosy hotel with great and friedly stuff. we felt like at home at would definitely reccomend this place to anyone who wants to spend relaxing time in Playa. Great located - just a minuted from 5. Avenida, 3 blocks from the beach. The hotel offers you its own sun beds and umbrellas. Leaving back home was really hard time
“Great hotel!”
This hotel was great if you can't/don't want to stay right on the beach. It was within walking distance to everything - beach included. Staff was VERY helpful and very nice. The room was cleaned beautifully each day. Breakfast buffet next door was great to start the day. Loved spending time at the bar by the pool. Loved Indigo Beach Club. Would stay there again for sure!
“Modern/Quality Hotel”
This boutique hotel is situated one block away from 5th avenue. Its at the corner of 10th/12th street. We were greeted with friendly & courteous service. After being escorted to our room & explained all the amenities we were given 2 complimentary margaritas. An additional perk for staying at this hotel is that each room comes with a cell phone for guest that has 200 free minutes in case you need to call back home for some reason. Additionally, there is free wi-fi at this hotel which is another perk, however the signal is strongest at the pool/bar area. Also, our room did not have the hottest of water but is manageable. Overall, the you can't beat the quality for the price.
“Great choice!”
Great Location, Very Clean and well kept, Very friendly staff both morning and night. I am giving a true review. Very Nice place for the money. An oasis just off street from the hustle and bustle of 5th ave (the main drag for shopping and drinking/eating). The area of improvement in which the hotel has no control is the noise form bearby bars. We did as others suggested and asked for a ground floor room on the west side of hotel where we hardly heard anything. Bottom line is we would stary there again for sure and definitely would tell others to stay there.
“Highly recommended”
Our stay at the Magic Blue Hotel was everything we hoped it would be. It was a quiet little oasis with an ideal location near the beach and 5th Avenue. The staff was very attentive and friendly, Angelica's assistance was always very much appreciated. The breakfast was very good, especially the crepes. The pool was very quiet and relaxing. We requested a quiet room and that is what we got, we were never bothered by the noise from the night clubs. We would definitely recommend this hotel to others. The only issue we had was with Best Day, the company that was responsible for our transportation. When they picked us up at the airport, we were instructed to meet with them during our stay to receive our return vouchers to the airport. We called them and arranged a meeting time at the hotel to receive our return vouchers and to arrange an excursion but they never showed up. We eventually went to their office to ensure that we would have return transportation but we still did not receive vouchers. The driver did show up to take us to the airport and asked for our vouchers. We had to explain that we did not receive any, he called the office to confirm and we did get our ride to the airport.
“Really enjoyed our stay.”
This is cleanest hotel we've ever stayed in. Not only was our room cleaned superbly every day but the pool area and outdoor bar were also. Everyone working was friendly including the restaurant next door which had very good food. The only complaint we have is that the bartenders at the pool kept leaving for long periods of time. We feel the cost of the room was appropriate and are glad we stayed there.
