“I plan on staying at La Tortuga again!!!”
I loved La Tortuga Hotel and Spa!!! I would highly recommend it to anyone who isn't looking for one of those big impersonal resorts. The staff at La Tortuga was incredibly friendly and couldn't do enough for you! The rooms were clean and well laid out, the hotel itself had that great boutique hotel feel, the pool was great for a post-excursion soak and I loved the pool bar! The food at El Bistro was delicious, as well. It was conveniently located to everything, and the best part was that it was right around the corner from Avenida 5. Many people are worried that they will hear the crowds from Avenida 5 if their hotel is in close proximity, however we heard absolutely nothing from Avenida 5. When I return to Playa del Carmen, I plan on staying at La Tortuga again!!!
“Playa del Carmens little gem”
The Hotel was as advertised if not better they exceeded our expectations. The location of this place and the amenities it offers with all that is with-in walking distance staying at this place should be a no brainier. Please avoid the larger all inclusive s' and stay at La Tortuga you wont be disappointed.
“We Will Return Next Year!”
Wonderful hotel, great location, exceptional service! The Bistro restaurant was excellent and should be a dinner stop for anyone visiting Playa. A great breakfast is included as well as passes to Mamitaas beach club. Alfredo was very helpful to us. La Tortuga is definitely a place we would return to.

Except for the tropical depression which was checking out when we arrived a GREAT experience. Picked up as planned at the airport, a great room, service and overall experience. Great location, close to everything (5th Ave) but not so close to get the noise. Hotel restaurant was good, breakfast was basic but nice. Nice and relaxing stay.
“What a way to turn fifty...”
I turned 50 this year and chose La Tortuga as the place to do so. Together with my girlfriend, we stayed in a suite with a private hot tub right on the balcony. Absolutely terrific! They are cleaned daily and the air condition made for good rest at night, every night. Plenty of channels on the tv and good reception as well as free internet. It is an intimate hotel with only 52 rooms and everyone knows you by name. La Tortuga is tastefully decorated in Mayan style and is unique in its layout. The prices of the food and drinks in the restaurant are really good and the service and quality of the food is outstanding. With a wonderful pool surrounded by trees and tranquility I can really recommend this hotel to everyone, for a special occasion or just to relax. It is just a stones throw away from the boulevard with all of its shops and restaurants where many Mariachi bands fill the nights with their friendly music and create an idealistic atmosphere, yet the hotel is isolated and quiet.

“Lovely!”
This is a really great place to stay - well situated (close to the high street and beach). The staff were all very lovely and helpful. The environment is very relaxing - lovely pool and lounge area. Its perhaps more of a couples place to stay, but nevertheless my friend and I had a nice time.
“Making plans to go back”
This was one of the best trips my husband and I had taken. Excellent Customer Service from everyone! Great room! The restaurant was very good. Breakfast is provided daily and we had dinner there one evening. Owning a service company it was great to have my expectations exceeded. One great touch was the day of my B'day, the hotel had decorated the room, and provided a bottle of champagne and dessert.
