“Le paradis!”
Pour nous ce fut l'expérience parfaite (chambre, service, repas) mais il est évident que l'emplacement de la chambre va influencer radicalement la perception (entre notre vue vers une forêt tropicale avec animaux et ceux qui sont au rez de chaussée vers les chaudières du club voisin....). Les points d'amélioration s'il devait en être seraient: * plus d'animation pour adolescent * forfait wifi abordable pour tout le séjour
“Great place!”
Great location, cool jungle environment with monkeys and all sorts of animals, and an awesome beach. Had an excellent time!
“Ibersostar Tucan”
Prettiest bluest beach I have ever seen - beautiful resort - wildlife is incredible - food is just okay but based on everything else, would definetely go back!
“Iberostar Tucan”
This hotel exceeded my expectations. The resort was clean and very well maintained. The staff were all friendly and drinks/ food brought in a very timely manner. The programs for entertainment were diverse and they made everyone feel so welcome. The animals at the resort, tucans, monkeys, peacocks and more are amazing. We loved this hotel and Iberostar runs a great hotel chain. I will definitely go back again. I am not easy to please but found nothing to fix, superior service. 5 stars all the way. Food was hot and buffets were always fresh. Sit down dinners were also excellent, not typical all inclusive food, very very good.
“FANTASTIC PLACE!!!”
The staff was so nice and so helpful! I have never had a BETTER experience at a hotel.
“Topnotch resort!”
Nearly everything about the Iberostar Tucan/Quetzal is perfect. The location, beach, layout, buffets, etc are all fantastic. The rooms are a little dated but so what, you only sleep in them anyways. The pool is massive and warm, whereas the swimup bar is a disapointment in that it is separate from the main pool and is quite cold. Overall a fantastic resort that everyone should be pleased with.
“QUALITY STAFF, THE BEST BEACH, MODERATE PRICE”
Iberostar Tucan (and quetzal) is an older property. The rooms don't have some of the fancy touches that the more modern, newer resorts have. But they are clean and have comfortable beds and great showers. What they also have is the best beach (with the possible exception of Maroma beach) in the Mayan Riviera. We have been to 12 or 13 resorts south of Cancun. This is one of the friendliest for both staff and other guests. The food is good, really good, but not great. Same with the drinks. The higher priced resorts have fancier rooms and fancier food, but they aren't any more fun. The highest priced resorts get lots of (boring) honeymooners (sorry to you honeymooners). The hotel did an excellent job of handling Irene--the hurricane that went from Category 3 down to tropical storm, thank God, overnight before it hit us. They were safety conscious and changed plans and approach very flexibly as the weather situation changed. Stresses like that reveal the quality of the management. They were also helpful to rebooking (twice) our return flight to the U.S. We didn't see many unhappy people, everybody was having fun, including us.
“A Wonderful Experience”
I visited Iberostar Tucan/Q December 5 to December 10,2010. My stay was marvelous in all ways. I found the service to be extraordinary. All of the employees were courteous and tried to be helpful at all times. The food and drinks were plentiful, of high quality and always available. The grounds are well kept and the "Jungle" in the middle of the resort has animals and birds that are fun to observe (monkeys, Flamingos, Iguanas, Agouris, etc.). I walked the paths several times daily just to see the animals. The a la carte restaurants are fun but I prefered the Buffets; there are abundant choices of tasty items and a person can always find more than can be eaten. The two restaurants on the beach make it unecessary to return to your room for lunch or snacks and a person could stay on the beach or at the pool all day. At night, there is entertainment , a disco, and Lobby Bars with live music and lots of people to chat with. I found the resort to be of high value for the money and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. I erecommend the Iberostar Tucan/Q .
“First Adult Vacation”
This was my first attempt at booking a real vacation with my girlfriend. Let me say, I have a lot of experience with booking college spring breaks at all inclusive places but none whatsoever when it comes to booking for just two and booking something outside of florida/thebahamas. Overall I was very pleased with the package price I was offered and simply hoped for the best upon arrival at the hotel. Spoiler alert, the place is awesome. Again, I have no other experience in the area to compare it to , but the resort was large full of people and very beautiful. There is plenty of great food, lots of places to lay around and lots of places to get free drinks. Honestly, my only compalint would be that after a dew days I actually got tired of laying around inparadise and had to go book a trip to xcaret which was very easy to do and very very fun as well. Overall I would say yhat they could add somemmore activities like maybe some watersports other than iust kayaking (they had sailing and windsurfing but only for those who knew how, and they had no teacher). The nnightime shows were fun but maybe aimed at a slightly older crowd ( although I am in my early 20s) and the daytime activities were a bit lame. They did however have a club which was alright for a couple nights, and it is only a cheap cab away from some local bars so all in all it was a very fun week. Very relaxing and very affordable.
“Beautiful surroundings”
The hotel was beautiful - even better than advertised. The nature walk through the jungle on the way to the pool was awesome (although we were happy to find a short cut around it, too.) We loved our stay there, with the exception of the food, which was mediocre at best. I would go to an Iberostar again, but in a different location.
