Where do I begin. This was the worst all inclusive resort I have ever been to. The food was absolutely awful. Most was not even edible. You are only able to reserve a restaurant once every 3 days. They aren’t even worth it as the food is just as bad. The drinks were also terrible. The liquor was as bottom shelf as they come. There are I believe 4 other iberostar resorts on the property and this is the bottom of the barrel. I felt embarrassed to have on a blue bracelet. You are not able to use the pools or the restaurants for the other resorts. As you walk by them you will notice they are much higher end than Del Mar. this was not a cheap hotel either and the cost did not fit the quality. The golf cart that is supposed to run throughout the day just sits at certain spots so you end up having to walk almost every time. Both my dad and my keys didn’t work when we got back from the beach. They said it was because it was near a phone or a credit card but it was not near either. We went down to get a new key and when we came back mine was still not working. My dad tried to key that he had never taken out of the room and it did not work so clearly something else was going on. If you don’t get to the pool/beach by 9 AM, you won’t get a chair. The sign say that you can’t use towels to save a seat, but everyone does. The rooms were fine. They were nothing special, but they were clean. The only reason that I gave a two star instead of a one is because the staff was overall great.

Allow us to mention that a passion for gastronomy is one of the main attractions of our hotel, and our team of hand-picked professional chefs, using only the highest quality ingredients, aim to please the palates of our valued guests. It is disappointing to read your observations, however, we will take note and use the improvement opportunity that this gives us.As you mentioned, we have a policy where it is forbidden to reserve sunbeds and in the event someone reserves them for more than one hour without using them, our staff will kindly remove towels and personal items from them. We regret that some of our guests do not follow this policy well, however, we can assure you that everyday our staff does everything in their hands to verify this internal policy is being followed. Our goal is your complete satisfaction and to make you feel as relaxed and pampered as possible. Please know that we appreciate your feedback regarding the aspects that did not make your stay as pleasant as it could have been. My family had a great experience here. The grounds are beautifully laid out with lush vegetation and animals - flamingos, parrots, swans and coati (looks like monkeys). The interconnected pools flow nicely. Family friendly but adults can have a great time. Clean facilities and beaches. Staff was very friendly. The restaurant reservations were extremely limited so that might be the only thing they can improve on. However, it was spring break and honestly I realize now that I often prefer the convenience of the buffets and walk-ins over the reservations anyways. It would be nice if we could reserve a spot before we arrived because essentially we were given one option. I would definitely come again. My son made friends right away -as did we.

This was our 4th visit. The resort and staff are great. The food is mediocre at best. I’ve never seen so many hotdogs incorporated into food. It wasn’t a cheap resort either. Hibachi was really good. We will try a new place next time.

For this reason, we actively protect our ecosystems and preserve the mangroves and local flora and fauna where our hotels are located. The mangroves absorb 10 times more carbon dioxide than terrestrial forests, helping to combat climate change. They are characteristic of tropical areas and protect coastlines from the wind and waves. At Iberostar, we are protecting mangroves and planting more around our hotels in the Riviera Maya and Punta Cana. This is just one of the actions we are taking as part of our Wave of Change movement. We loved the wildlife and the layout of the resort. The entertainment team was engaging and there was lots happening at the theatre. We were disappointed in the restrictions on a la carte dinners, the reduction in the in room bar (no liquor and only 2 beers per day) and there was no variation in breakfast and lunch options.

The new transportation system with M2W for shuttles from the airport to the resort needs work in their bookkeeping and scheduling. Was better before when Iberostar looked after everything.. Also, would be nice to be able to make dinner reservations in advance of arrival, especially for large groups such as our 20 .

We enjoyed our stay very much. The hotel is older and the buffet was just okay. The hibachi was amazing! We would have liked to have been able to make more than three specialty restaurant reservations, as we were there for 8 days and could only make three reservations and had to spend the other nights at the buffet. The staff and entertainment were both awesome!

The service and employees are great. Other than that, they can improve on lots of stuff. The buffets are very basic and nothing special. The resort itself needs major updating and renovations. Lots of the furniture is pretty old and scuffed. The ac worked but wouldn't shut off even when the temp was reached. The key cards kept deactivating since it was in the same pocket at my phone or AirPods & it's a far walk to the lobby every time this issue came up. The restaurants food portions are somewhat small and you actually leave wanting more. Overall for the price me and my wife were expecting more. Also the theater didn't have much entertainment, there was a show only one of the 9 days that we stayed and the rest of the evenings had karaoke and other similar activities that required the guests to participate which wasn't really entertaining. The beach itself was good, however a lot of the beach chairs were occupied by the time you get to the beach which was around 9am. There was also a good amount of broken chairs aswell that we had to watch out for.

Lot of lush greenery around. Felt like i was in a tropical jungle resort in a good way. Beach was lovely. Only downside was, you need to go very early if you want to reserve a hut for yourself on the beach. Loved the big pool. Food buffets (breakfast, lunch and dinner) were EXCELLENT especially the dinner buffet. Food quality in the speciality restaurants wqs not great but ok. Evening entertainment was good on few days but other days it was boring. Overall, loved the stay and would definitely go again!!

the property is clean and beautiful, smoking should be prohibited because people do not respect smoking areas and smoke everywhere, the room was not ready at 3PM we had to wait half an hour more, the room was clean but we did not have the remote control on TV and the channels are in Spanish. I told about TV but it was not resolved, the food is good, the staff is kind and friendly, on the last day they cut our TV cable

Hotel rooms need updating beds are extremely hard and pillows were all flat. Our room did not get cleaned for 2 days and no i did not put the do not disturb tag on my door. No water offeres in the rooms or in fridge. They leave 2 foggy dirty bottles to refill with water so if ur thirsty you have to go down the hallway and find a water refilling station & ice with some are not even in the same place. 2 buffets places but both serve same food everyday not much of a variety. Food does not taste authentic at all most texmex for those who know what that is. But staff is very friendly tho. Resort hallways connect from diffrent directions by tge time u know it ur in a whole other bldg. The down side is that they do not give you any maps or itinarery of whats going on in the hotel so for those without smart phones well, your out of luck. Last but not least when you catch a taxi @ hotel they will call one for you they have a set amount of what they charge depending on where your going but once u reach your destination driver will charge a diffrent amount. It happened to us twice.

For this reason we provide our guests with glass water bottles so they can refill them anytime at our Vero Water stations, located on each floor. This is just part of our commitment to reducing our impact on the environment through different strategies. We regret this meant an inconvenience for you. We can assure you that the safety and wellbeing of our guests is priority to us, and our Vero Water bottles are disinfected using high technology procedures and the water is filtered using reverse osmosis, we can assure you that all our procedures comply with the highest standards.Once again, we would like to say how grateful we are for your opinion, and hope that Iberostar continues to remain in your holiday plans in the future.Best regards,
