“This is likely our 10th year to visit so we are obviously happy with the place”

“A world away yet just around the corner”

This was our first trip to Playa del Carmen, and the Hotel Las Palapas was simply a perfect place to stay. The cabanas are gorgeous, whether in the jungle gardens or right on the beach. We were lulled to sleep by the Carribean waves every night, and yet we were just one block from Quinta (5th Avenue). The seclusion was wonderful. No tv's, no telephones, no alarm clock. Just the rustic Carribean the way nature intended. Yet less than a 10 minute walk to crazy bars. I read alot about the music/noise from Mamitas Beach club next door. We were there a week, and only one day was the music loud enough to be truly noticed. I highly recommend this resort for couples without kids.

“A perfect balance”

The positive reviews don't exaggerate: this combines a peaceful beach-side setting with access to the tourist shops and restaurants. Very happy with all aspects of the accommodation and service and would recommend Las Palapas to anyone.

“Awesome Location”

This place was perfect. It's location just north of the main tourist area so the beach is much less crowded.The grounds of the hotel are kept beautifully and I would recommend this place without reservation.

“Can't Beat The Beach”

I wanted to just have a vacation at the beach, and I picked the right place. Hotel Las Palapas is right on the beach, though all the cabanas are back from the actual water. But they have the best spot on Playa's beach- the widest part, and it's not crowded. You can sit on the beach chairs and the friendly hotel staff will serve you food (not bad) and drinks if you like. The rooms are large and comfy. Best feature- the hammocks they set up when you check in.

“Calme et beau”

Des bungalows dans un beau jardin tropical (avec de mignons animaux) au bord d'une des plus belles portions de plage de Playa. Pas de TV ou tel dans les chambres (mais Wifi et un lieu ouvert de détente avec bibliothèque, billard et TV commune) participant à l'atmosphère de calme et beauté du lieu. Hotel discret loin du tourisme de masse mais proche du centre ville avec un personnel attentif.

“Hôtel de charme à Playa del Carmen”

Hôtel très sympathique avec un très beau jardin tropical, donnant sur une belle portion de la plage de Playa del Carmen. Idéal pour les personnes n'aimant pas les hôtels standardisés de chaîne. Personnel extrêmement prévenant et sympathique notamment Juan au restaurant principal. Seuls bémols : . proximité du club de plage Mamitas diffusant une musique techno assez forte. . le dîner qui est de qualité moyenne

“Best kept secret”

Hotel Las Palapas was great - very quiet and tranquil. Great gardens and beautiful bungalows. No TV which is great. Smack in between 5th Ave and the beach (North end). Great beach and bar area. All the noisy crowds and stuff is down South if you want to venture down there.
