“Looking forward for a second visit.”
The Grand Serenis personnel were pleasant from the minute we arrived. The quality of food was really good as well as the amount/locations of resturants. Many fish and species can be seen by snorkelling at the resort beach location.
“Can't wait to go back”
Very nice hotel, clean and spacious rooms.
“Great time!”
Great Food, luxury rooms, great service, great snorkeling, great beach!
“Great Getaway”
We went with a group of 13 and had a blast. The Lazy river was great. The beach bar set up conveniently right next to the lazy river and beach! Awesome service at the beach bar especially from bartender named Cali. They had 3 BBQ's on the beach during our stay the third being the best as they made Paella in like a 4 foot pan right on the grill on the beach and served the best Sangria. The buffet for dinner, I cannot complain! There was always something that I went back for 2nds. We made reservations for the Brazilian (hint: dont fill up on the first couple samples of meat, because the best are at the end of the 7 meats that you try) The Japenese was DELISCIOUS! (hint: they have saki upon request : )) The entertainment staff were good if you were in the main lobby or at the pool. We have been to resorts where they are constantly trying to get you to do fun and stupid things in front of others! Which has been alot of fun in the past. I would say that if it wasnt for our big group and being able to entertain ourselves I would have been bored. Good if you are going as a couple and just want to get away. Probably not the best if it is just you and a friend looking to have fun. We had a great time and probably wouldnt go back to that hotel, not that there was anything wrong with it, it is just soo far down there and little too quiet for us. People knew us as the loud Chicago group and that is ok, cause we were on vacation and we were having fun. And please do not forget to tip.
“First time on the Eastern Coast”
Would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a nice rest. Very quiet not a party place. Lots of space, at the beach.
“Great time was had by all!”
We traveled in a group of 11 including 6 adults and 5 kids ranging in age from 18months to 15 years old. We all had a great time. All inclusive is the ONLY way to travel with teenagers! A couple of us had been there several years ago and they had greatly improved the night life since then! We were happy with the food selection/variety for the most part. The specialty restaurants were not quite as good as before, but the buffets/snack bars were very good. Our only complaints were that the A/C in our room kept going into standby mode so our room was not as cold as we wanted it to be if we forgot to push the button. Also, the refrigerator in our room didn't get as cold as we wanted it too. The beach was really nice with great service while lounging, but the entrance to the ocean was kind of rocky until you got out a little deeper. Overall, we had a fabulous trip! The pools/bars/activities are wonderful! The staff was very friendly and helpful!
“Wish we could go back tomorrow.”
My husband and I returned to the Grand Sirenis to find it as wonderful as our previous experience. Check in was efficient, the room clean and beautiful, the facilities (restaurants, pools, beach, spa) were all well kept and very enjoyable. The buffet had delicious selections for each and every meal. But most of all, the staff is exceptional: warm, helpful, and well trained. We are looking forward to returning again and would highly recomment this resort.
“can't wait to go back”
I LOVED THE HOTEL AS WELL AS THE STAFF!
“Excellent Service”
Excellent service, huge rooms, lots of wildlife to view on grounds.Awesome snorkeling on beach of hotel.Staff very friendly but hotel at this point (Nov 2-16)was only 38% full.Love to go back.
“GRAND SIRENIS IS AMAZING!!!”
I have to say I was a bit unsure when I initially booked at this hotel. I read many positive and some not so positive reviews. I have to say that I don't understand the negative reviews! This hotel was wonderful!!!!!! My boyfriend and I loved it! I have no complaints. Hotel staff was pleasant, our room was immaculate, and there was so much to do!!! The food was great! There was a large selection of food items to choose from. I fell in love with the coffee shop! There were numerous bars, and the drinks were great as well! I could go on and on! The only downfall is that the hotel is about one hour outside of Cancun. The nearest town is Playa Del Carmen. I highly recommend making a stop at Playa. If you are seeking a place close to many towns or that is easily accessible to nearby cities/towns, then this may not be the best option for you. Besides that, this place is WONDERFUL!!!! Do NOT listen to the negative reviews.
