“Awesome Resort!”
Stayed 6 days in mid June and had a wonderful time! Swim up room was amazing though wish the people who paid extra for the swim-up rooms could use them beyond the pools 7 pm closing time. Check in was a breeze, no safe theft, clean gorgeous hotel! Highly recommend it. Very spread out so be prepared for lots of walking between the pool, main lobby building and beach. Beach was actually too far to walk to in my opinion. Food was good though more meat choices needed to be on the dinner buffets. I'm not a seafood person. Would definitely return in a heartbeat !
“Enjoy lots”
We were in Princess in Sept 2011 really liked the resort .Staff is so helpful and nice .Love the buffet lots of items in the menu. Will go back again for sure .
“Highly Recommended”
The Grand Riviera is an awesome place to stay. The rooms are luxuriuos and modern. The pool terrace rooms, particularly in the new developed side are worth the extra money. The 7 restaurants and buffet are awesome too. Food is good, service is good, drinks are good. They offer quality alcohol, Bacardi, Captain Morgan, Jose Cuervo - no cheap stuff with the drinks. This place is not in the heart of Playa del Carmen, they offer a free shuttle to take you to town. But this place is definately worth it, so much to do. No down time. Would highly recommend it!
“Visit the princess resort and you will be satisfied!”
We absolutely loved this place, We were on the riviera princess side and had the time of our lives! The food is great, the drinks are great , the pool is a ton of fun all day and the nightly shows are amazing! the baby blue ocean and white sandy beach are simply fabulous and the service of the resort staff is unmatched. I strongly recommend the princess resort to anyone looking for all inclusive's in the cancun area.
“Excellent service!”
This hotel was excellent! The service was wonderful, staff very helpful and property very well maintained! The only complaint: we were not told my husband needed long pants for the a la carte restaurants until we got there. Nonetheless, we had a very nice time. The property is immaculate! You will get top notch service if you tip well (as with any resort in Mexico). I would recommend paying for the platinum status, especially if you do not care to be in a building where a bunch of partying is going on and there are tons of children. We upgraded and absolutely loved the location of the platinum buildings (all the way on the beach). Speaking of the distance, it IS NOT a bad walk...at all. I think it may have taken us 10 minutes from our building to the lobby. Overall, one of the nicest hotels we have visited. Note: take the shuttle into Playa Del Carmen and get a massage for around $30...cheaper than the hotel!
“Great value for your money”
We stayed for a week with a party of 4 adults at a deluxe junior suite with pool access. Great value, hotel is amazing, clean. Highly recommend the rooms with pull access, worth every penny (just keep in mind that no children are allowed in those rooms). The only negative experience we had during our weeklong stay was the photographer had a bit of an attitude (not sure if he is affiliated with the hotel or not, though he has a shop there) and the quality of the japanese speciality restaurant was not impressive (I guess shouldn't expect great japanese while in mexico). Other than that, everything was great - not crowded at all, plenty of lounge chairs, clean pools, etc. Highly recommend.
“We are going back for our 10 year anniversary!”
The resort is beautiful and the staff is extremely friendly! Our only issue was that we were under the impression that the Expedia package that we bought included transportation to and from the hotel. When we arrived in Cancun is when we found out it didn't, so we had to pay extra for that.
“Amazing!!! Can't wait to go back”
Really nice Hotel, everyone friendly, nice restaurants, Great variety of food, Nice shows, I really enjoyed staying here, you can pick either the relaxing pool of the fun one where they have games, music, the rooms clean. I made a really good choice picking this hotel
“Will definitely go back to this resort”
The grounds were neatly manicured and breathtaking! The resort was huge and very clean. The staff were extremely accomodating and friendly all the time. The only negative is that all the restaurants were not opened due to so few guests being there during that particular time.
