“Very beautiful and peaceful.”
Beautiful and tranquil setting. Very jungle-like on the pathways. Good food and drinks. Very well kept grounds and facilities. Expect alot of walking between rooms and facilities. Ladies bring flat shoes (heels will not work well on cobblestones and boardwalks).
“Beautiful!”
A beautiful resort!! We upgraded to the Mayan Suite and found it to be worth the money. Our only MINOR complaint is that the mattress was not that comfortable, otherwise everything was perfect.
“PERFECT!!!!!!! WE WANT TO GO BACK!!! DID NOT WANT TO LEAVE!!”
This was SUCH a GREAT resort!! The staff was WONDERFUL and the room was perfect! Everybody on the property was helpful and wonderful! Food was great (including buffets) and service was exceptional! The property is beautiful and the staff went above and beyond! Property is set up in villas....which is very nice. We would go back next week if we could...and we want to! EXCELLENT in every possible aspect!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
“awesome hotel”
hotel grounds were huge one week was not enough to use all facilities it's the only hotel we will book in riviera maya from now on
“Great Resort”
This was our second trip to Palladium Kantenah. Very large resort with a lot of activities for all ages, kids club, adult activities scheduled all day, snorkling, diving center on site, open air theater at night, sports bar and a lot of resturants to choose from. Staff is great, very friendly and helpful. Beaches are not that big but are clean and have plenty of chairs. Definetly will go back, one of the best resorts I've been to.
“Loved it!”
We traveled late summer and it was very hot but worth it. We enjoyed the hospitality, the food and most of all the great activities the hotel had to offer all day. My teenage son really enjoyed the teenage activities (his favorite was soccer in their turf field!) and my 9-yr old daughter had fun in the kid's club (one of the better ones I've seen). My favorite was the gym -- never crowded and had a great scenery). the speciality restaurants were excellent as was the service there. Was dissappointed with one thing only -- the service in the buffet restaurants was slow. If we come to Cancun again, we would like to stay at the Kantenah.
“I highly recommend!”
The resort was amazing. The people who work there were extremely friendly and helped you with anything you needed help with. The resort was lovely with tons to do. It's easy to get around and there is so much to see. There is so much to do outside the resort as well. I highly recommend visiting Akumal Bay, which is a public beach where you can snorkel and see tons of turtles. It costs 30$ to go through the hotel, but if you grab a cab it should be cheaper. I also recommend visiting Xel-ha - it was a beautiful ecological park with so many things to do. The food at the resort was excellent. We ate at a different restaurant every night. The service was superb. I was nervous because at the last hotel I had stayed (in Acapulco) at some of the people I was with got sick, but there was not of that at this resort. We had an absolutely wonderful time and I highly recommend this hotel to anyone going to Riviera Maya.
“Beautiful facility; great for active travelers”
Hotel was beautiful; food was great. Facilities were very spread out - lots of walking is a must; fun for family with teenagers, probably not for small children. The trains are unreliable - the one through the resort had not been working for the 4 days we were there - it was broken - guess that's just Mexico! Beautiful beach; spa was great - worth visiting more than once. Service was not superb - the employees were great, just not a lot of them. In the buffets, just get up and get your own water from the nearest pitcher - staff doesn't like it but who wants to wait to the end of the meal for water? Only one place to reserve a la carte reservations for all 4 hotels which meant a wait in line. Dinner reservations could be booked a week in advance so 3-4 day visitors were at a disadvantage. For trips to town, we took the the local bus from the palapas in front of the hotel for $2 per person - the staff only suggested the more expensive taxis or private shuttle. Snorkel trip from the hotel to Akumal was a good value - not as pretty as Cozumel but a short trip off the beach at the hotel (no van ride) and you can see sea turtles and stingrays. The front desk was frequently busy and there was a wait to get service but you just have to get on Mexico time!
“Very nice hotel.......”
I really like this hotel a lot, the activities in the pool and their entertainment crew were owesome, the rooms are nice ans spacious, the food in any of the restaurants and even the buffet is great, there is always something fun for the whole family to do in this place. The service was outstanding everywhere in the resort, we had the best time ever in the Mayan Riviera staying in the Palladium Hotel. I will defenetely stay in this hotel again.
“Grand Palladium”
We initially reserved the Kanteneh hotel but was relocated to the Riviera side upon arrival. We later realized that we were given a suite upgrade from the standard room that we had booked. The Kanteneh/Colonial is more central to the overall resort complex. White Sand/Riviera is the newer section and the rooms are more modern with a separate standup shower and jazuzzi tub. Restaurants and pools are available on both sides and can be shared by all guests. There are 2 trains (red & green) that allow guests to commute within the resort. Overall, the quality of the hotel and the food/drinks was well worth the price paid. Playa de Carmen is only 20 minutes via taxi.
