“definitely would revisit this hotel”
this hotel very clean, staff always doing something. food and drinks were great! staff was very friendly and eager to help with anything. always some kind of activities going on throughout the day water volleyball, areobics, dance lessons, snorkeling a hobie ride or just relaxing on the beautiful beach, food was good too. this vacation was fantastic! very pleased overall this trip was great!
“Wonderful Place for a Holiday!”
My husband and I were married here two weeks ago and it was an Excellent choice! The Wedding Gazebo was lovely and the ceremony excellent. The hotel went out of their way to make arrangements on our limited budget. It was a great size for a wedding as we could find everyone but there were still plenty of space and options. A larger all inclusive would have made logistics much more difficult. Also, we were first timers to the all inclusive concept and were really impressed that it was not too overbearing. The restaurants were all quite good and I cannot say nice enough about the staff. We liked the no reservation process as well as we were on vacation so if we had a bit of a wait then we just went to the bar. The front desk and concierges were adequate but the restaurant, bar, bell, and housekeeping were fabulous! We rented a car as we stayed for our honeymoon and it was great location as we were just between Tulum and Playa de Carmen.
“Great family resort and value”
This resort is located in a quaint location which makes it attractive because you can walk to nearby Puerto Aventuras and there are tons of fish in the water around the resort. We got a basic garden family room for 5 of us and that was our only complaint. Next time we would get a bigger, better room or two rooms. The "premier" level looked nice, but we heard from people that had ocean view facing the pool that it can get a bit loud. They truly excel at service on all levels: house-keeping, room service, restaurants and entertainment. We did not use the kids club much for our older two children because they made so many friends and there was plenty to do. Wish they had a kids club for our almost 2 year old though...Food was amazing. Don't miss the mexican place -- that is the best one of them all. The drinks were on par with every other all inclusive we've ever stayed at (bit weak and all "well"). My husband said extra tipping solved the "problem". If you're traveling with elementary school children, look no further. It's a great value and everything is close together. You can do day trips to surrounding attractions.
“What a great resort!”
Great resort all around. Seemed to have something for everyone. Brought our two year old and she had a blast in the pool and on the beach. There were even enough choices at the resturants to satisfy her hard to please taste. Service was great all around. Great friendly staff all around, everyone said hello or hola and the kids seemed to get special attention. There are definitely lots of activities to keep everyone happy. I suggest the FREE scuba lesson which happens twice a day in the pool. Next time when our kid turns three, we'll be able to put her in the "Explorer's Club" which is their day camp for the kids. This Explorers club gives the adults a little quiet time and is available from 10 am to 10 pm. Our favorite evening resturant was the Da Mario Italian resturant - lots of choices. At the pool, try the "mickey mouse" drink for the kids - it's cherry grenadine and frozen pina coloda mix (virgin drink of course). Great summer time. Snorkling was fun in the bay - lots of fish and coral. Showers in the room had great pressure and lots of hot water - we never ran out. It was a great trip for our family and seemed there were a wide range of guest from honeymooners to anniversary couple to of course the families with young kids. We had a great time and appreciate all the great hospitality from the staff while we were there.
“First anniversary at sunscape puerto venturas”
My wife and stayed at sunscape P.A. in May ,2006 for a week for our honeymoon. We enjoyed it so much we decided to go back for our first anniversary in May 6th 2007. Again we had a great time. We had one small problem with the tv not working right. I called the front desk and within 5 minutes there was a maintenance man at our door. He took the tv out and returned with a new one that worked fine. The recreation staff was a lot of fun and very good at getting people involved in water volleyball, darts and other competitions. The shows at night were better than last year. The hotel had a hypnotist one night and a fire show another night. Make sure you go to the dive shop at the hotel beach and do the short 2 hour snorkel trip to a local reef. We saw a turtle, stingray , beautiful coral formations and several different species of fish. All in all, the staff is friendly and helpful. They really try to make your vacation an enjoyable one.If we can afford it we will definatly return for our 2nd anniversary in May 2008.
“Perfect family vacation”
We brought our 3 children (14, 12, and 10) and we could have been the "poster adult" as we sipped our beverages while they were happily kept busy by the many activities available to them. The Entertainment Staff was fabulous; our kids were dissappointed when we left the property to do other things! Like other reviews, the beds were very hard which left a sore back at the end; but definitely not a "deal breaker". All of our meals were great and there was something for the kids to try at every meal. Their favorite part was the movies on the beach; which my husband and I used the time by having wonderful dinner by ourselves. Overall, relaxing and fun!
“Great Family (young kids) Resort”
We just spent 6 days of our Spring break at this resort and LOVED it. The only problem is the way they name their "room categories". We reserved a "Premium OceanView Room" and they really mean "view" - not Front. We were able to switch to another room on day 2, but I had to really make a fuss about it. Stand your ground and keep asking. All other aspects were awesome. Great beach, small but nice. Cool snorkeling right there. Amazing kids club (my dtr. is 8 and loved it). The food was very good -not 5 star - but delicious. Try the ala carte restaurants - great service and good food! The activity staff is amazing - lots of fun. The litte town of Puerto Aventuras is cute - shops & marina a quick walk and fun to wander around. Overall a terrific trip - We'd go back tomorrow!
“Best Vacation Ever”
We read other reviews good and bad before we left. I have to admit we were a little nervous about booking online and only having the pictures from the web site to go on. I will say from the minute we arrived to the minute we left we were treated like royalty. The people really care about the hotel, the guests and your overall experience. I don't have a bad word to say about the entire experience. I will be returning.
“Nice Hotel”
I like that hotel has a pool only for adults.
“Great staff! Everyone was nothing but pleasant and helpful”
A great place to stay. The staff was amazing and very accommodating to your needs. When we first got there the room that was given to us had the smell of mildew and was very damp. I just went down to the front desk and explained what the problem was and they gave me another room that was to my liking with no problems. The activity staff was great too There were always fun activities for you to do and they would constantly make you laugh. The food and drinks at the resort were excellent. We liked the Italian restaurant so much we went there 3 nights out of the week we were there. The sea food restaurant was excellent also. I enjoyed the mahi mahi there even though I am not really a seafood lover. All in all I had an amazing week at this resort and would recommend it to others to check out.
