“Super”
Very good hotel and nice place to stay. Excellent staff and food
“Great beach”
We stayed in January at the Catalonia. The beach is the most awesome beach we have encounteres in five years of Mexico travels. It was very clean with powder sand and no coral to manuver in the surf. The first two days there was fish swimming around us in the surf. An excellant snorkeling beach. As far as the rooms- we were upgraded when we arrived, but as I saw it- not many were ocean view. The rooms were surrounded by "jungle" view, which was nice for viewing the animal inhabitants! People with walking disabilities would probably have an issue walking around the resort, but my husband and I lived the path back and forth to the restaurants. Our room was immaculate and frequently cleaned. We were in #5 room area. The nightly shows were great- good talent-even elvis night. As far as restaurants- we ate in them all. It was great not to have to make reservations each day, and the restaurnts were never crowded early when we liked to eat. They were all great but the Mexican Restaurant had slow service, they needed a buser. The steakhouse was my least favorite but the try for American cruisine was the issue- Scratch that horrible Maryland crab cake or have some one from the east coast teach you how to prepare it! So if you want a clean resort with good food and great beach- this is the place. My husband and I did feel alienated a lot by all the Italian and french people at the resort, they were not very friendly- and we talk to anybody!
“Best vacation ever”
It was truly a wonderful vacation. The staff was professional and very friendly. Other guests I talked with felt the same way. There is a lot to do. The resort grounds are very nice. I never felt crowded. The food was fantastic. A excellent variety. I would highly recommend Catolina Royal Tulum as a wonderful vacation spot.
“Valentines week stay”
Had a blast! The only minor complaint would be the activities staff. They catered to the european groups and didn't really mingle with the rest. Other than that had a wonderful time and all other staff was wonderfull. I highly recommend this place.
“5 star resort at 3.5 star prices”
This was our 5th time at CRT. The staff can't be beat. My only complaint was that I booked the hotel 7 months in advance and asked for bldg. 5 and didn't get it. But really there's not a bad place to stay in any bldg. The beach is fantastic! Hello Marco, Beatriz, Betty, German!
“very very relaxing”
had a great time, the weather didn't away play along but no one can control that. we got plenty of sun and some good color. if a romantic dinner is your thing, they got that covered for you. many different foods to chose from (the mexican was my fave) staff was very nice and friendly and no waiting for service. the lay out of the resort was really nice. we liked the things to see as you stroll on through the walk from one end to the other. birds and little critters to watch just doing their thing was great. we met other people and enjoyed just sitting and talking with them in the evening as the day was coming to an end. great time all around. it is hard to say we wish there was something more we wanted from the place.
“OUR FAVORITE RESORT”
We go to Royal Catalonia Tulum every year. The beach is the best I've ever seen. The staff is genuinely friendly and eager to make you feel comfortable. The rooms are in a natural jungle type setting. There is lots of wildlife on the grounds, as well as a large cenote with fish. The food is not great, but usually very good, There isn't a whole lot of entertainment, but the walks through the trees and the beach and staff are all so good that we didn't really care about being entertained. You meet a lot of interesting people from all over the world. We will defintitely go back next year, if we are able. It will be our 5th time to go there.

Love this place! It is quiet, very well maintained, service is top notch, beach is fantastic! Have been 2 times and plan on returning again next year. Have recommended it several times and everyone that has gone has not regretted it!
“AMAZING!”
Amazing service by some of the friendliest employees. Had great food and drinks. The area is great with all the in tact jungle. Plenty of birds and wildlife to keep you busy. One of the best beaches around. Am definitely coming back with friends. Met some great people too!
