“very impressed”
good food and drinks
“Quality all inclusive resort at a very good price”
This was our 2nd stay at the Aventura Palace. Our first stay was 6 years ago. We had a great stay. The hotel wasn't very busy - apparently due to the economy. So, we had our pick of lounge chairs by the pool and beach every day. We never had a wait for any of the many restaurants at the resort. The food and drinks were fine. We never expect gourmet food at all inclusive resorts. The staff was friendly. They even moved us from a room with 2 double beds to a room in a better building with a king bed. We took advantage of the excursions that were included - the trip to one of the Mayan Ruins and the zip line excursion. We had a good time on both. The only problem was a leaking air conditioner that left a small pool of water at the entrance to our room. We'd definitely go again.
“Been four times before, will definitely return”
Had a blast every time. This was first trip at this resort with my children (18 and 14). My daughter loves to snorkel and I knew she would like the lagoons. She was not disappointed. In the mornings (10-11) Jack gives a great snorkel tour finding star fish and small marine life. The lagoons are clean. The staff is wonderful. The pool is very clean and cool. Hint: buy some inflatible floats before you pack- they're not any thicker than a tshirt. Second hint: if you want your own personal attendant, bring a fist full of ones. Five bucks every morning to Angel' (pronounced Anhel) brought me an ashtray, cold bottled water as a chaser to the mudslides and banana monkeys and very stiff drinks. He would always keep an eye out for us and never rolled his eyes when the kids ordered. A few bucks to your room attendant and mini bar stocker goes just as far. Third hint: remember you're in a foriegn country. Not everyone understands American english, and not everyone is in a huge hurry. A few American dollars gets you some extrodinary service. The food is just as good. If you're staying more than 4 days, with children, you might want to go out a few nights. Children under 18 are not allowed on the all adult side. That's the only bummer. If you take a cab to the Moon Palace (as we did for dinner one night) figure $100.00 round trip. We've stayed here and Moon Palace. Never disappointed. Will go back to Moon next year just to break routine. Remember, you're on vacation, have fun.Relax.Drink.
“This place exceeded our expectations!!”
The Aventura Cove Palace is a beautiful and clean resort with a wonderful staff who is willing to do anything to make your stay special. The food is very good and there is always a wide variety from which to choose. The bar and wait staff are very, very attentive to all your needs and wants. Carolina, Chucko, Diego and Jose are the best!. We brought our 21-month old and she had a ball. The place is very kid friendly and there's lots to keep them entertained. If you're looking for a family vacation spot, look no further...the Aventura Cove Palace is the place for you!
“Very nice resort”
I had not been to an all-inclusive resort before. Excellent food with a large variety of choices: exceeded my expectations. Clean and spacious pool and recreational area, so it never seemed crowded. There were many scheduled activities in and around the pool area for those with young kids or teenagers. No beach directly in front of Aventura Cove, although there is an "cove" with access to the ocean for swimming and snorkeling practice. When we wanted sand we went to one of the nearby Palace resorts (Playa del Carmen and Xpu-Ha) via free shuttle or good taxi service. The service was always very friendly. This resort is not within walking distance to anything.
“Great first visit to Mexico!”
Wonderful stay for our family over Christmas break! Grounds were beautiful! Staff was very friendly, attentive, and helpful. Our in-room frig was stocked daily. Fun activities for our older kids at the pool. Plenty of food and drinks. Most staff spoke English very well. Our whole family enjoyed the night time entertainment. Wonderful spa facilities for adults. Only wish the hotel had more people available to set up activites using your hotel credits. There was always a wait for this. It was also about an hour from the Cancun airport. We would go again and recommend this hotel!
“We would definitly go back there for another vac”
I ususally don't leave reviews but i felt i had to do that for the superb service we had during our stay. First of all if you book your hotel and flight with expedia try to book your transportation from the airport and back also with expedia, the transportation was cheaper compared with the taxi fare.Second when we arrived at the hotel the front desk was very helpful (we had some issues with our room- hot water and TV and they were resolved right away). The room was clean, bottled water and soda were resplenished every day (NB try to take as much singles you can with you for tips. 1$ or 2 $ were sufficient most of the time) and try to take a room next to the pool area. Third the Kids club staff was phenomenal eventhough my kid is 2 y old and we had to stay with him they managed to interact and play with him. When it comes to food they have buffet for breakfast and lunch at the Mundaca restaurant and they had a variety of dishes there every day, the cooks and servants were superb and very helpful.. For dinner you had the choice of a buffet at the Ventana place or the mexican place La Hacienda - Dinner a la carte( we tried it me and my wife and the food was very good: they had a very nice Mariachi band that night) Not to forget they have different activities around the pool all day long and they had nice programs at night. Don't miss the mexican fiesta on Friday night. If you had a resort credit try to use it at the spa, it was a very nice and relaxing experience for us.
“Alotto be desired”
The front desk staff is very rude and confrontational. The staff walking around the hotel really won't even look at you.. no eye contact because they really don't want to help you. You have to chase them down if you have a question or need something. Maid service was great. . Be Careful of the gift shops inside. They don't give you the right change, because they figure you don't know the money exchange. It happen 3 times to us. The pool is amazing =) HIGHLY recommend the spa.. the best we ever had in our lives =)
“Aventura Cove for a Wedding”
This was our seventh stay in the Cancun/Playa area over the past five years. The fourth with Palace Resorts. The "Cove" is a 3 out of 5 stars in my opinion. The rooms are becoming dated fairly quickly. The rooms in the Moon and Cancun Palace were much nicer. Beds are hard compared to home. The guy who fills the fridge with drinks maybe came 3 times in 7 days. Maid service was decent but not like other hotels in the area. The room service is allways busy and they leave the trays in the hall at night ( we met some wildlife eating from them ). The grounds are immaculate and pool is very nice. The kids club at this resort is one of the best I've seen, with its own pool and water playing area. The kids also will love the shows held nightly. The ocean inlets are good for snorkeling and kayaking ( watch out for the crabs). The food in the buffet was to be expected and the other restaraunts were good. I would reccomend using the Spa side if you have a sitter for nice dinners. The overall feel is Palace Resorts uses this resort for Training or less engaged employees. The Spa side was really different with the service side. The bartenders were really fun and outgoing, restaraunts were better, and the service was much faster. I reccomend the Spa side if your traveling without kids.
