“Extremely clean and very nice rooms.. parking lot leaves much to be desired...”
Very nice place to stay.... great location, the room has all the amenities you could expect to have from home. The elevator talks to you. It is convenient to everything. Convenience store across the street in case you forgot anything. would stay again if we had a coupon, but a great hotel for a getaway. . The staff were all great and very helpful... from the front desk, the kitchen, and the maid, right down to the security guy walking the parking lot. Prepare to walk, the parking lot is not convenient. The entrance is the main door and it is the furthest point from the parking lot... what genius thought that up?!?!?! You can not get in with your room key at the side entrance unless you have someone waiting for you. If you can avoid it, come in the off season when the parking lot is not so full. Don't purchase the breakfast package, unless you really don't want to go out....it was good, just not worth the amount forked out in the package. Didn't get to use the pool, but it was nice and clean, if I had time, I would have definitely taken a swim.

Centrally located within the business district. Handy for local public transport which made travelling around the city very easy. Quietish location with plenty of amenities on hand. The place suited our needs.
“Good hotel for the price.”
This was the second hotel we stayed in while in Rio, the first being much nicer (and more expensive). This was a good location in Centro, easy walk to metro and to catch a bus (or taxi). There were plenty of places to shop, eat and see. However, they charge you for everything - hair dryer, wifi, safe, etc. So keep that in mind when booking. The staff were very helpful (my daughter spoke Portuguese and I did not) and knew some English. Would stay there again, in an effort to save money.

“Nice low-budget hotel”
Even from a low-budget hotel I would've expected a cleaner room, but the hotel was OK and the staff was always friendly and willing to help. Overall, it was a good experience.
“Very Unimpressed”
I was in Rio for business, and picked Rois Presedente Hotel based on its reasonable price and proximity to the places I needed to be. All in all, I would definitely recommend you choose somewhere else. I booked a double room, but found a tiny box room with 3 single beds in. All at different heights. the walls were scuffed and marked and the bathroom was fairly clean but not well kept. The toilet roll holder was falling off the wall and the soap holder in the shower tipped your product on the floor. The staff barely spoke any English (which is fair enough) but my Portuguese wasn't good enough to successfully complain. Since I was only there for 4 nights, I lumped it - but will definitely be searching for alternative accommodation if I return. I cant understand how it has gained the 4 stars.
