“Suites are not Suites”

Considering that Ridgecrest is pretty much all by itself in the desert, you take what is available and don't complain. The motel called our room a suite, but it was really just a large sized single room. We had plenty of space and it was quite clean. Nice little pool right outside our door. There were lots of warning signs about criminal activity, but we didn't have any problems or see anything to cause worry.

“Sleep on a board”

To be honest the this hotel was not bad...at least up until you tested the bed. If you like an extremely firm mattress (almost hard enough to tap dance on) then this place is for you. If you prefer something more cozier and softer then don't go here. I recommend you also bring your own pillow as theirs are not very comfortable.

“Poor maintenance”

I checked in and was told the water would be off for an hour for maintenance. It was turned off that evening, but the next morning when I woke up, it was still off. I couldn't shower, brush my teeth, etc. When I informed the front desk I was told there was nothing they could do and to "have a nice day." The internet connectivity was spotty, and at 6:30am, some of the breakfast items were empty.
