“Fantastic Experience”
I'm happy for an opportunity to recommend this hotel. I've never stayed in any hotel ever that had such a friendly and anxious-to-please staff. Over and over I noticed this and commented on it several times while we were there. It was Southern Hospitality Plus! I will always plan to stay there from now on.
“Minor disappointments”
There are only 2 things that I would identify as unpleasant about this stay. Valet parking was a total circus primarily because there were literally hundreds and hundreds of people checking into the hotel on that date (seemingly at that very moment). I chose to park my own car in a city parking deck rather than wait for valet parking. I was on the 18th floor and the water pressure in the shower was very disappointing. Neither of these inconveniences will keep me from staying at the Marriott again. This has always been a flagship hotel in Richmond and I will continue to stay there. The bed was heavenly - - absolutely heavenly.
“Very nice stay in Richmond, VA”
Great hotel. Easy to get to, right off the interstate near the coliseum and convention center and MCV Hospital. Beautiful lobby. Staff was helpful and pleasant. I did not like paying $14/day for parking when I am a guest at the hotel. However the valet service was quick and convenient. The thermostat in my room was a liitle flaky and I kept over heating and overcooling the room. But is was only a minor trouble. I did not use the restaurant or bar, but the menu looked well stock and prices were reasonable. The bar was full service and well stocked. Pool, whirlpool and gym facilities were nice.
“Top of Line Hotel”
Extremely satisfied with my stay here. The room service was wonderful, the valet parking attendants were very helpful and courteous. The hotel offered a service to check in bags (after check out from room) so I could attend a seminar at the lower level at no cost to me and not have to put my bags in my car and worry about them. The hotel is BEAUTIFULLY decorated. The beds are so comfortable, I slept through my alarm clock. Updated bathrooms and flat screen TV were bonuses. The hotel was extremely clean throughout. The service in the restaurant was prompt and courteous. Again the staff was amazing! I am very happy with my stay here and completely recommend it to others!

Overall, things were great. Some discontent with staff "rushing us out" of the exhibit hall as I was there for business.

The area is up and coming, but the hotel is already a gem.
“Nice Hotel. Good Location.”
The hotel is in a good location near the convention center and the Richmond Coliseum. The room was not ready when I arrived after the normal check-in time. I was given a voucher for a free appetizer in the bar and the room was ready shortly thereafter. The hotel is very clean and modern. I would not hesitate to recommend the hotel to others.
